  4. Despite Happy Boy's comments at 7:45, there are problems with this idea.

First, using TIF, City Hall gives away Tax Funding that should go to support the various School Districts (5? 7? I'm not sure) that operate within the City Limits. STOP GIVING AWAY THE SCHOOL'S MONEY, AND SPECIAL SALES TAXES WON'T BE NEEDED IN ORDER TO FUND Pre-K!

Of those five, six, or seven School Districts operating within Kansas City, MO City Limits, and only two of them have Pre-K programs to fund with this City-wide tax.

The others hire competent teachers who are capable of teaching the kids what they need to know in Kindergarten.

If City Hall can come up with some way of taxing only those parents whose kids will have Pre-K available to them, that's fine with me, but I think a better solution it to STOP STEALING THE SCHOOL'S MONEY AND GIVING IT TO YOUR DAMN DEVELOPERS!

  7. There is no solid evidence that Pre-K programs have a lasting positive effect on the kids. If it gets implemented, this will become like Head Start, where major studies have found there is no difference between Head Start kids and non-Head Start kids just a few years later. This initiative similarly will bleed the taxpayers to fund a feel good program that does not work but can't be cancelled.

  9. I don’t know where in the world pre k costs almost $10,000, that’s absolute bull, my child’s daycare cost $2200 at a private school, pre k is just a half day of babysitting so momma can get her hair and nails done. But only in killa shitty will some dumbass city official claim it cost $10,000. This is nothing more than a scam, remember the $1,200 hammers the Air Force was buying! Just sayin
