New law lets bars start serving earlier... and lets people serve themselves

Gov. Jeff Colyer has signed legislation that could help a Topeka business become a reality. The new law will let Kansas bars and restaurants have self-serve taps. It will also allow bars and taverns to start serving alcohol at 6 am., instead of 9 a.m. under the old rules.

I never did understand the KS opening time law. I have several friends that were 3rd shifters, it's their happy hour when they get off work. It's their morning when "our" happy hour starts.
