ADA lawsuit: 10 Johnson County businesses violate law - Kansas City Business Journal
Fred Nekouee, who has progressive multiple sclerosis and uses a wheelchair, has filed 10 federal lawsuits in the past two months against shopping centers and hotels in Johnson County. Nekouee claims that the properties are discriminating against him by not being in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.

ReplyDeleteFred Nekouee has filed hundreds if not tens of thousands of lawsuits all over America claiming ADA violations. This guy has been doing it for years and many question if he has even seen or visited half the places he file suits on. Juralindex claims he has filed or involved with 88K plus different suits. He lives in Georgia last I knew.
ReplyDeleteUpon digging more I can only find 15 what appear to be active lawsuits at this time. But I remember an issue like this back around 2000 or 2001 a person was going around filing suits on people all over the place and most were nit picking type suits. I agree with the ADA type things being needed but as with anything like this it is just impossible to sometimes meet everyone of the things they would like to see.

ReplyDeleteI also think that under ADA laws that businesses must be given the opportunity to make necessary changes to accommodate, however, if those changes are financially perilous then the business can submit why these changes would hurt their business. These serial lawsuiters... ugh, the worst.

DeleteOften the serial ADA suer is in cahoots with a fly-by-night lawyer. They pick a target, sue the business, then settle for whatever they can get, including of course attorneys' fees. The aim is not to help disabled people, but to generate wealth for themselves with as little effort as possible.
