TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY FAIR WAGE ACTIVISTS START SEASON OF PROTEST!!!

It's Spring again and that means more social justice protest on local streets in addition to increased demands for a $15-minimum wage in Kansas City that was passed but prevented by the Missouri General Assembly in Jeff City.

Here's the word . . .

RIGHT NOW: #KansasCity is holding ANOTHER successful non-violent civil disobedience training to join together with the #PoorPeoplesCampaign across #America and demonstrate WHY WE CAN'T WAIT!

Poverty. Racism. Militarism. These are daily emergencies that are tearing our communities and our nation apart. We can't wait for economic #justice. We can't wait for racial #equality. We can't wait for #peace. WE ARE DEMANDING IT NOW!

#FightFor15
#UNION

And all of that was simply a prelude to an upcoming series of protests on Kansas City streets:

PPC Season of Non-Violent Direct Action Launch

"The season of non-violent direct action is upon us. Across America, the Poor People’s Campaign is wielding collective action in May and June to abolish the “Triple Evils” of racism, economic exploitation, and militarism. We launch our season of non-violence on May 14 in Jefferson City and state capitols across America to target the epicenters of the country’s attacks on democracy and equality.

"Join us at 6am as we march in KC and send off our multi-racial movement to Jefferson City. Black, white, and brown are coming together to meet the attacks on all Americans -- the poor, unions, workers, immigrants and refugees, the LGBTQ community, women, and low wage workers. At 12pm in Jefferson City, join the mass marches, rallies, and non-violent moral direct that will make history across the country.

"We launch our Poor People’s Campaign on May 14th to win the battle for America to be what it ought to be: A place where “opportunity is real, and life is free,” and “equality is in the air we breathe!” as Langston Hughes so beautifully said. The time is now!"

  1. Or you could call it the march to put small businesses out of commission.

  2. We've seen this time and time again, what this really does is make sure that more poor people are unemployed. It's not about helping the workers, it's about getting more union dues.

In other words, it's a scam.

  4. Nothing is more important than distilling a sense of helplessness, & hopelessness, into the working poor. You must convince them that being a wage slave is their unavoidable destiny, & that any attempt to improve their lot is foolish & misguided.

  5. Call it when it really is it's the Kansas City communist summer. I think that's what we're seeing in the future as we lead up to election season, people are getting more militant more divided and angrier. We seen these protests without any real solutions except to vote for their candidate. They don't tell us what kind of policy change they're going to make they just want to make sure they win the votes. Kind of scary when you have people out of work more often and who really do need good paying jobs but their arms as many opportunities without a good education or a lot of luck or family connections. That is not to say that people shouldn't work hard, it's just finding an opportunity to work is a job in and of itself. So rather than get to the really hard work it's easier to just protest.

  6. I'm sure these are the same kind of democrat idiots that put morons like Mayor Sly James into office which then results in a higher tax burden on the poor. Small businesses will then be driven out, and then these idiots will then proceed to complain about economic opportunity. Stupid is what stupid does.

  9. There are people that make over one hundred thousand dollars a year that are a slave to the Banks the credit card companies many are one paycheck from disaster ..they stay in there homes and can't afford to enjoy the good life living the dream. Buying things they don't need with money they don't have. .ask the debt counselors, there are storys, and documentaries. Living beyond means. It's not how much you make it is how much you spend. You accumulate wealth. So much for my free seminar. ..

  11. If you give this group $15 per hour it will not improve their lot in life. The difference will be eaten up in taxes.
The next group will want a union and the same pay too, those guys that beg at intersections. They get tax free income because they don't report it.
