Here's a sample of the social media feedback . . .

A note about statistics . . .

"The homicide rate in Kansas City rose under your watch. What’s your plan to prevent that from happening across Jackson County?"

Comeback hope . . .

What these reports don't mention is the negative feedback from the Legislature and the behind the scenes confirmation that Exec Frank White's selection committee was just for show.

Moreover, controversy over the Chief's hefty pension could sink morale at a critical time for the Sheriff's office.

  1. Really tough times at the County.

At this point some of us would be glad if Mike made a comeback.

    It couldn't get much worse.

  2. Just another grifter hand out, why would you hire forte when he failed killa shitty so bad, wait, what? It can’t get any worse? Are you kidding me? Killa shitty is number one in black murders and black on white crime is out of control under his watch and he wants to run the sheriffs dept, god help us all

  3. Forte was a complete nightmare in Kansas City. Let’s take a look at his accomplishments:

    1) He stole over 500,000 in compensatory time he earned by riding around on his motorcycle.

    2) The Crimes against Children investigation happened while Forte presided over the department.

    3) Forte did or said nothing to try to keep his staff, or keep the city from under funding his department.

4). He lost the respect of his department.

    1. You only know what you have read in the paper it saw on tv. He sexually harassed several women while Chief. It was reported to the BOPC and they did nothing. They conducted their own “investigation” with no training. They didn’t report it to POST, and they did not call any witnesses. I worked in that unit with one of the officers. Forte is a preditor and the BOPC knew it. She didn’t lie, but Forte sure did. She deserved to be treated better, not coerced to change her story. Those of us that know what happened to her won’t stay quiet anymore. Forte is gone, his worthless board left with him. We shouldn’t have to deal with harassment any more, or the coverups it takes to conceal.

  4. I thought the half million dollar wonder kid was going to go to law school. He fucked the PD and the taxpayers then laughed on the way out the door. He'll do it all over again.

  5. When you have a government as broken as Jackson county, this is the level of applicants you can expect. Sad.

  6. Frank White loves to "make history," being the first black county executive and now being in a position to appoint the first black sheriff. When he appointed the directors of corrections and collections, he didn't start by talking about their qualifications, but how he was making so much history appointing so many women.

Frank won't be making any history when he becomes just another corrupt former county executive. That can't happen soon enough.

  7. There will be quality, ethical applicants. Check out Det. Sidney Anderson. The public can trust him. Ethics and the public’s interests should be the priority.

  8. Tou have got to be kidding me. WTF is wrong with this city.

  9. That he’s thrown his name in the hat means nothing. You only know about it because he was controversial as Chief and defrauded taxpayers of a half million dollars. Frank won’t do this. He put together a committee and he will heed their feedback. Corruption and grift must end. This is not what the county needs. The Legislature will never go for it. Frank won’t make this particular pick. He won’t.

  10. Just when you think nothing can take place in Kansas City government that will surprise you something indeed surprises you at seeing the level of stupidity that is running that city and county that just keeps on stomping it into the ground.

Why not go over to one of the homeless camps and grab the first person you see slap a badge on their chest and call them sheriff. In the long run would probably do a better job in the position.

Kansas City needs a huge infusion of outside blood running things. This so called good ole boy syndicate has to be broken up.

  11. Well, this solves the mystery of how Frank’s mortgage got bailed out again. The reporters are not asking the right questions. Maybe the FBI will.

  12. 8:42 I think that’s what KCPD was doing when they went to the homeless camps the other day, looking for recruits! Lmao!

I think that’s where most of them come from anyway!!!

  14. There is nothing the Sheriff can do to impact public safety. He has a tiny road patrol and courthouse security. That's it folks. Hire someone that's not a criminal and move on.

  15. Forte has proven himself to be completely incompetent, which makes him the perfect choice for Jackson County sheriff.

  16. "The sheriff is a Ni####" what's that? I think He said the sheriff is near. No cornflabbit the sherrif is a for tay! Between Sharp and his sucker for lust giving thousands of $ , tax payers money to his side bitch, sly being thw developers bitch and being mini chicago when it comes to our negros, this place is a shitpool.

  21. Ok, KC Star you liberal POS paper are you really going to set back and be told as of this week Frank hand picked the board in advance to put Forte in the sheriff job. This is utter Malfesses in office and most likely a criminal conspiracy, maybe even a RICO Violation when this hand picked group is acting in concert to rig government process by pre-selecting Forte. I cannot believe the current KC Police Chief R Smith will stand for this or be a part of it. Where is the FBI on this? hopefully mointoring it as it unfolds before their eyes.....Make sure everyone knows the fix is in Forte has been selected before the process is conducted..How Pathetic.

    ReplyDelete
  22. The guy already has the job. it is fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The state democratic committee called Forte personally to run. He was reluctant at first but gave in to their request. The process is fixed. Its a shame since some good people have applied.
