UMKC Earns Big Bucks For Drone Spy Tech

Today's announcement from the city college celebrates a federally funded partnership with UMKC and Missouri Science and Technology in Rolla:

"The Department of Defense awarded the group a $7.2 million grant and a $7.7 million contract to pioneer programs that would thwart threats to national security by drones.

And because a few of our blog community denizens studied communications at this same institution . . . We understand that statement really means "spying" but was cleaned up for consumption by the plebs.

  4. Here we have a group that can not manage security on a campus and we are trusting them to help develop national security? Oh hell yeah! Thats gonna work. This is right up there with teh driver-less semi tractor trailer.
