TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY PROGRESSIVES MARCH AGAINST GUN RIGHTS AS 2018 HOMICIDE COUNT NOW EXCEEDS LAST YEAR'S RECORD PACE!!!
The movement advocating extreme limitations on the 2nd Amendment is taking hold in Kansas City.
This call to action was inspired by a tragic school shooting massacre in Parkland, Florida which claimed the lives of 17 people and sparked a national conversation.
Locally, Mayor Sly & many members of the city council have offered their support and personal appearances for student walkouts as PLANNING FOR A MASSIVE KANSAS CITY ANTI-GUN SOLIDARITY MARCH is reaching the tipping point. The "March For Our Lives" social media event has garnered SEVERAL THOUSAND FOLLOWERS AND DOZENS OF CO-SPONSORS eager to take to the streets to limit local gun rights.

KANSAS CITY COUNTED ITS 23RD HOMICIDE THIS MORNING WHICH PUTS US AHEAD OF LAST YEAR'S HORRIFIC SPIKE IN MURDER!!!

Perspective . . .
At this date on the calendar there were only 22 murders for a total of 150 in 2017 - A horrific number and a level of deadly violence that KCMO had not endured since the 90s.
A large percentage of the victims killed in Kansas City are murdered by way of guns obtained illegally so it's unclear if more gun regulation will prove effective.
Meanwhile, critics of local marchers seem to resent this middle-class, mostly white anti-gun uprising that's part of the Midterm 2018 election conversation while the sordid topic of rising KCMO homicide counts focused in the urban core has been mostly dismissed or only given cursory attention by local politicos, MSM and partisan activists.
