Shawnee, Kan. native says United passenger's puppy died after being placed in the overhead bin

United Airlines is apologizing after a passenger's puppy died on a flight. Another passenger on the plane said a flight attendant told the owner to stow the animal, in its carrier, in the overhead bin. Shawnee, Kan. Native Maggie Gremminger was sitting directly behind the owner of that 10-month-old French Bulldog named Kokito.

  5. 846 is right. giving police authority to airline personnel may be a necessity but some of the people aren't qualified.

    cost-cutting likely exacerbated the qualifcation gap.
