Progress report on legislation from MO House Rep. Dan Stacy endorsed by local tax fighters . . . And the first step in reform for an election process that the library honcho said was "the single-most corrupt Kansas City election since the Pendergast era."

After many rewrites and negotiations, an amended version of HB 1234 narrowly passed out of the elections committee last night.

The new bill allows residential voters to automatically be issued a ballot in mail-in TDD elections and return them without the necessity of obtaining a notarized signature.

    I think we need to look at the TDD process all together. Grateful that the streetcar extension must now have a citywide vote before it goes further.

  2. This is an example of corruption at the local governmental level is as bad as anything I see in Washington. This City Counsel should not have the authority it has.
