The $8 million/year generated by the city-wide sales tax, but to be spent specifically on the east side will be spent just like the tens of millions spent on 18th and Vine, Citadel Plaza, the Green Impact Zone, and all the countless other "projects" undertaken by the usual suspects.

And the residents who actually live in those neighborhoods and certainly expect and deserve some improvements will be disappointed once again.
Really a shame.
I don't live in the homes where this guy did his landscaping, but I do live just north of it and drive by it several times a week. It is beautifully done and actually adds appeal to the homes around him.
ReplyDeleteWhat's a shame is that the HOA spent this kind of money, their residents money on this needless fight. O.k., so the guy failed to properly fill out his paperwork or went beyond the original scope, whatever the argument is, bottom line the HOA took a ridiculous hard line and now between the HOA and the resident spent over $600k, he may have won, but the real winners were the lawyers and the losers were the residents who didn't stand up to the HOA and say STOP, work it out.
