Missouri's taxing districts facing increased scrutiny

A bill moving through the Missouri General Assembly calls for mapping the state's more than 2,200 special tax districts. The number of such districts has exploded over the last 10 years, according to the bill's sponsor, state Rep. Phil Christofanelli, R-St. Peters.

  2. History lesson, former councilman johnson got the tdd law changed so the streetcar tdd would pass. This change could end the sketchy votes on these huge tax increases.

  3. Forget mapping, abolish. They are only putting a legal stamp on what would otherwise be fraud.
