Show-Me Analysis After Missouri Trump District Flip: Celebrating Democratic Party Midterm 2018 'Blue Tsunami' Is A Mistake

Really great breakdown of the numbers in the House and how outright celebration is a bit misguided in the midst of more elections and negative public perception against ALL politicos in play . . .

Analysis | That big swing to Democrats in Missouri isn't the great news for the party that it seems

There are a lot of positive signs for the Democratic Party's chances in the 2018 midterms. On the generic congressional ballot, asking Americans if they prefer the Democrats or the Republicans to win the House, the Democrats have a 6-point lead in the RealClearPolitics average.

  4. These articles in newspapers like the Washington Post and New York Times just show how little the east coast folks are interested in or understand what goes on outside their little bubbles.
After the 2018 elections, McCaskill will no longer be in the US Senate and the Missouri legislature will still have veto-proof Republican majorities.
Cherry picking these election results to fit these folks' desired outcomes is a victory of hope over experience.

  5. It's NOT a big deal? Really? Cause I kind of think losing a seat to democrat that went to Trump by 19 points is kind of a big deal. Sounds like that article is just whistling past the graveyard to me.

  6. 8:23 Really? It's a seat that always went blue. Will vote red again when it means anything. It's a seat that is worthless, only you care. Lets talk about the rest of the vote. Red 3 Blue 1

Did CNN or HuffPost not tell you that?

  12. It's way past time for mccaskills to be voted OUT! Send her tired old ass back to STL. Will mccaskills' luck finally run out in 2018 or will The Devil and the Stupid Party save her one more time?

  13. Trump is not a Republican or a Democrat, they all hate him because he is not a politician. He truly is on our side, vote for who ever backs him and America.
