Reminder: Rock Island Progress Remains Stalled After Mike Sanders Fall From Grace

Former Guv Jay is out of power and this questionable vaporware development project isn't a priority for Guv Grietens.

More to the point, it's probably time for Jackson County to get out of the Rock Island game.

Take a look at ROCK ISLAND CONFRONTING ANOTHER YEAR OF DELAYS and nothing solid accomplished as the promises of rail and bike proponents have evaporated in the aftermath of the Former Jackson County Exec wire fraud guilty plea and his support for this development . . .

Messenger: Will old Rock Island rail line get new life as a trail? Missouri waits.

The drive through Rosebud, Mo., took me back to another era. To a similar small town that was a shell of its former self, as though time stood still on the day the railroad stopped running. It was in Buffalo Creek, Colo., where I met Katherine Ramus.

  3. I think the trail is a great idea. Missouri needs more amenities and options beyond stadiums!

  4. Why waste money on a bike trail? WTF? Wouldn't those funds be better spent on education instead of hobbies for stoners?

  6. Down in South Jackson / North Cass, they're already done with their RIR walking path projects, have been for years. They got the grant money, lined the appropriate little pockets, and built the darn thing.

Why are we in JaxCo still paying for Mike Sanders' sweetheart deal to house Ken McClain's private art collection at public expense?
