2 people injured in gun battle that also hit KC school bus, police say

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Two people in separate vehicles were injured Thursday in a gun battle in Kansas City, officials say. KC Police Capt. Lionel Colon said the gun battle began around 4:45 p.m. Thursday near the 4500 block of Elmwood Avenue. One of the vehicles hit with gunfire in the shooting stopped nearby, Colon said.

  5. Looks like the social workers that are being hired by KCPD need to spend more time out on the road where the action is.
    Also riding the dog watch with the cops in East Patrol.
    Way past time to stop playing and making believe no one knows who these bangers are. In fact, identifying the gang members and their relationships was the whole idea of NoVa.
    KCMO just can't being itself to actually state the real issue and aggressively do what's needed.
    Some of the east side "leaders" would wail and make accusations as usual, but the vast majority of regular folks in neighborhoods east of Troost would welcome the results.
