Kansas City Royals: Bubba Starling could get a shot in center field in 2018
The Kansas City Royals made Bubba Starling the fifth overall pick in the 2011 MLB Draft and here we are nearly seven years later and Starling has still yet to sniff the major leagues. Starling is just 25 years old and has already displayed his defensive skills in the outfield in the minor leagues.
In a monosyllable: no. Best scenario is that he sees no more than 100 games in the major leagues.
ReplyDeletePoor Bubba. He is excellent in all athletic endeavors, but not supremely good at any one of them.
ReplyDeleteI have a friend that is an umpire and also a season ticket holder for the NW Arkansas Naturals. The guy knows baseball and when Bubba was there he said Bubba had no business playing AA and should still be in A ball. You can't have Gordon in left batting .200 and Bubba next to him in center batting .180.
ReplyDeleteAnyone sick of baseball yet ?
