An ordinance to limit City Manager Troy Schulte's power to spend tax dollars without authorization was bounced back to committee by the City Council Thursday, after he and his staff presented a long list of proposed changes to the measure.

    Just look at the list of candidates for mayor next time around.
    Not a single one of them is at all likely to behave any differently or have any other priorities than Sly or Barnes.
    KCMO government and the long list of unaccountable agencies like PortKC are little more than tax collectors and distributors for the Chamber swells, downtown cheerleaders, and any "developer" with so much as a pulse.
    There will be no investigations.
    In fact, most of the mayoral candidates have been part of what's been going on for years.
