TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! JACKSON COUNTY POLITICOS FEAR FEDS PLANNING RETURN TRIP TO COURTHOUSE AS DISGRACED FORMER ADMINISTRATION 'SNITCHIN' RUMORS RUN RAMPANT!!!

Debated whether or not to call this one . . . "Somebody talked" or "Sometimes they come back" . . .

But here's just a bit of political chatter that's worthy of consideration as the new bosses at the Courthouse are embroiled in an ongoing money fight.

A blind item to keep this blog out of court and remind local authorities that our online community is merely dedicated to 1st Amendment fun times:

Here's the sitch . . .

Amid recent questions posed to current legislators, politicos and their lawyers - There's fear that denizens of the former Administration are talking/snitchin about all manner of alleged County government impropriety. To this end, we can soon expect more salacious deets regarding their ALLEGED nasty behavior to arise. More importantly: Concern regarding yet another Courthouse visit from the Feds adds one more facet to the ongoing controversy over allocations and transferred funds.

  1. First off, they have a lot to be afraid of. Jackson County needs a good house cleaning that we've been promised for years and years.

Secondly, the questions about Combat need to be addressed to the court sooner rather than later. Another screaming match isn't going to cut it. There needs to be a decision.

    2. If you listen closely, you can hear the yelling in the lobby.

It's almost like they don't realize there's no such thing as a closed session.

  2. And this is why the next County executive should (and will) be a Republican.

  5. Brittany Burke must be talking so the former democrat gov Jay Nixon and former democrat county executive Mike Sanders time is about up. See what happens when you start talking about other people affairs.

  6. @ 12:58 Frank White was a Republican his whole life until he ran for Jackson County Legislature in 2014! Political party doesn't matter, not at this local level, except in this case you got to have the D next to your name to win a county-wide race in Jackson County. In Frank's case, the D stands for dunce.

  7. I've always thought there was something hinky about Frank White succeeding Sleazy Mike Sanders as county exec. Sanders recruited White to run for the legislature, then twisted the other legislators' arms to get Frank appointed executive, and then Mikey got himself a $60,000 consulting contract from the county on his way out the courthouse doors.

Frank got what he desparately needed, a six-figure income to help with his personal financial mess. Sanders got an easy 60 grand and a replacement in the county executive office who wasn't going to look too closely at how Sanders was probably cooking the books at the county.

Frank has shown himself to be every bit as corrupt as Sanders, if not worse, with million$ going out the door in unauthorized contracts. And he's definitely still hanging tight with Sanders, who appears to have brokered the deal to bail Frank out from having his house foreclosed on. I bet Sanders pulled strings to keep Frank's name on the ballot in 2014 and in 2016 when Frank's tax issues should have DQ'ed him as a candidate. Frank's election wins are completely illegit because he shouldn't have been eligible to run for office with his tax issues. Was Sanders "the fixer" who fixed it so Frank could still get elected?

Frank Whites and Mike Sanders, the jock and dweeb, are partners in corruption and, who knows, probably crime.

  8. Didn't Sanders appoint Mean Jean to her first term?

  10. When the Feds shine their very bright flashlights into the courthouse, just watch ALL the cockroaches scatter!
Accountability is the worst nightmare for the denizens of the Jackson County courthouse for decades.
    And, on my, the money.
This should be fun to watch!

  11. Cream puff Calvin was the worst of the worst. It will all come out soon. He has burned every bridge he could find trying to save his ass.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wait, I thought he was still in Guatemala doing his "youth" work?!

    ReplyDelete
  13. I'm trying to get the nuance here. We all get Calvin is a snitch on Sanders, but am I now supposed to assume he is also bitching out on Frank too? What the hell did they have on this guy?!

  14. Can they investigate City Hall when they are done with Jackson County? I can’t wait to see Sly in prison.

  15. I think that's part of the context, but you missed that Mirriam H., Frank's current assistant and Calvin's BFF, is also dishing on anyone and everyone. How else did that Star get the Frank's Finances story from "sources". Those two are sneaky, and looking to take Frank out to make Tarwater exec. Calvin knows he is unemployable as a soon to be felon/snitch. EXCEPT he thinks Tarwater is dumb enough to throw him a bone, because nobody else will be. If Frank doesn't clean house mark my words they will get him indicted.

  16. The marshmallow boy strikes again! Calvin and Tarwater in 2018!! The feds can just open an annex office at the courthouse or in Mirriam's living room, save them the drive time.

  17. Cathy Jolly can help the investigation by explaining the process for getting a no work and no show-up job at Jackson County.

  18. @ 3:46 You're missing a big point, that Frank's fucked up finances are a story. I don't give a shit who The Star's sources were. Frank made a deal with someone to get out from under a big pile of crap, and we still don't know who bailed him out or how he's paying them back. We do know Frank is a liar, and he has been handing out millions of dollars in "contracts" without going through the county legislature. Is that how he's paying back his mystery benefactor?

  19. Was at an event and heard Mirriam discussing, LOUDLY, with someone how Frank's family member, a woman's name that I don't remember, had taken "cash" out of the campaign accounts. At the time I was very struck by her lack of any decorum. She looks like a ferret in a skirt.

  20. Frank White can't clean house when he's the one now shitting and pissing all the floor.

    ReplyDelete
  21. 4:07, I guess we will see what if anything Frank may have done, but to me having your personal assistant out screwing you secretly in the press is major stuff. In the meantime, those that want Frank out, read Tarwater, will continue to do what he does, get the feds to do his dirty work.

  22. All of JaxCo government looks like a failed state with all this fighting. It's not helping anyone.

  23. All the grown-ups left the Court House a long time ago.

  24. @ 4:08 & 4:11 You know you don't have to worry about snitches if you aren't doing anything wrong that would be worth snitching on.

If Frank's got relatives taking cash from campaign funds, shout it from the mountaintops. If the feds find dirt on Frank, then he should have kept his nose clean.

  25. Having an all Republican county government may not fully solve the corruption problems; however, when one party has dominated county government since at least 1900, what do we expect? The Charter, which became effective January 1, 1973, had some promise of reform. Rather than a presiding county court judge and two other county court judges where power was totally concentrated, it was believed that having a legislature and a full time county executive would reverse the corruption. It may have for a few years, but by 1983 or so, the Legislature had become corrupt. An example is John Carnes "alleged" bribery of a county legislator. The Pendergast brothers did not only control Kansas City City Hall, but Jackson County government as well. Truman is an enigma in the face of the Pendergast machine. But Sermon and others filled the void.
It is obvious Mike Sanders knew that no one on the Legislature would vote against Frank White, our hometown Royals great. But he also knew that if he could get Frank to be beholden to him, he could control and manipulate the county without being the county executive. Frank I really believe was naïve enough to take the job and yet could not go against Sanders because of the financial bailouts. I do not think that Frank would be crafty enough to do the things he has been doing were it not for Sanders telling him exactly what to do. Why else would Frank not have any ally on the Legislature. They know who is really pulling the strings. I just hope Frank rolls on Mike Sanders so Frank does not end up in jail. Sanders needs to rot in jail, not only for the corruption he did while he was in county government but for taking a man with an extremely popular reputation in Kansas City and causing Frank to possibly commit crimes that could involve jail.
I hope the FBI puts more resources on Sanders now!
