A Smithville woman has been charged in connection with an overnight crash that seriously injured an 8-year-old Kearney boy. The Missouri State Highway Patrol was called to investigate a crash that happened around 12:10 a.m. on northbound I-35 and MO-291 in Liberty. When they arrived, they found two vehicles had suffered extensive damage.
