Limits to free speech at Shawnee Mission school board meetings in ACLU's crosshairs

Across Kansas and across the country, the story that will soon play out in the Shawnee Mission School District is being closely followed. Local TV, radio and newspaper reporters are expected to attend the Shawnee Mission school board's Jan. 22 meeting, joining what is expected to be a standing-room only crowd.

  2. I do agree that teachers and students, by name, should not be points of public discussion at the school board meetings. All elected officials should be fair game.

  4. Hey, Stink Rose, tell us how "Emily" the longtime JoCo welfare queen and her four kids by four baby-daddies are doing these days. Did Kansas SRS ever find the four deadbeats that had taxpayers supporting their children and Emily for years? Maybe you can get the story about the four non-supporting pops published in the Star on Fathers' Day. That would be such a nice follow on Emily's story appearing on Mothers' Day.
