SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY HARLEY PLANT SHUT DOWN UNDER POLICE PROTECTION!!!
This morning workers at the Harley plant reported their factory shut down as police instructed them to go home.

Confirmation - Officials report the plant is closing in 2019
A message from the website:
"Due to manufacturing requirements, the Kansas City Tour Center will be closed January 30 - February 1. The Tour Center will be open but no Factory Tours will be available January 29 and February 2-9. We apologize for the inconvenience."

"Harley-Davidson plans to further improve its manufacturing operations and cost structure by commencing a multi-year manufacturing optimization initiative anchored by the consolidation of its motorcycle assembly plant in Kansas City . . . The decision to consolidate our final assembly plants was made after very careful consideration of our manufacturing footprint and the appropriate capacity given the current business environment. Our Kansas City assembly operations will leave a legacy of safety, quality, collaboration and manufacturing leadership," stated Matt Levatich.
More than 600 people work at the plant that has been engaging in layoffs for years.
