City Market finalizes paid parking policy
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Customers will have to get used to a new paid parking policy at the City Market starting March 1. Management met with tenants on Tuesday to announce it and explain details. The parking lots surrounding the City Market will cost $1 an hour to park.
agree that the simplicity of parking once one decides to go there was a hidden appeal.
ReplyDeletemany people who don't know river market are intimidated until they try it.
now, the parking will be a negative. it's less the money than the complication.
Were you a drug baby? There's more apartments, stores, and activity in the city market today than in the last 40 years. Yeah, it's dead... not.

ReplyDeleteSo the business owners have to pay but the employees don't? That's not going to work. This city is just running more and more business out of K.C.
OMG I HAVE TO PAY FOR PARKING MY DIAPER IS-A GONNA EXPLODE!!!
ReplyDelete^^^ Byron is the pants shitter.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we need a mayor that isn’t a lying, thieving negro.
ReplyDeleteYet another reason to ovoid Jackedup County.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as the City smells a successful area, they move quickly to stomp it flat. Businesses can move to NKC just across the river, and do just fine. Parking is free and there are plenty of vacant spaces. Come up North.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me Tony but city hall is killing all of Kansas City.
ReplyDeleteI visit City Market/River Market four or five days a week. And I spend money there every time. Pay to park? Forget it. Your crummy town is not a "destination city." A few aspects of it, like City Market, are a convenience, nothing more. Except on weekends, when it's a zoo. You're making it inconvenient seven days a week, and so I'll quit going there.
ReplyDeleteIt's all because of the streetcar people using City Market as their park and ride lot.
ReplyDeleteBetween Winsloes shitty BBQ, the farmers market full of stolen goods from Walmart, Kmart, Burlington and Sears and the parking mess the city market has become sh*thole country.
ReplyDelete9:30 - Bullshit. Some of the most interesting small restaurants in the area are in the west and south wings of City Market, and others are scattered throughout the area. Steamboat Arabia is one of the best privately owned museums I have visited and the venerable Planter's Seed is worth a visit any time. New brewpub opening soon on Oak Street. City Diner or Opera House for breakfast or lunch.
ReplyDeleteYou obviously don't go there much, and when you do, you fail to notice a lot.
^^^ Have another shit sandwich with Grey Poopon (it) and tell us more oh mighty wise one.
