One more local retail tragedy to start the day . . .
KC metro makes long list of Toys R Us store closures - Kansas City Business Journal
Toys R Us plans to close as many as 182 stores across the U.S., including one in the Kansas City area, USA Today reports. As part of a court filing Tuesday, the retail giant released its list of potential closures, which includes two stores in Kansas and four in Missouri.
Wonder if the Management of Toys-R-Us has ever heard of a thing called the "Internet"?
ReplyDelete10:57 a.m. poster has a point. It would have behooved the big brains at the top to occasionally get their heads out of their ass and see what's actually selling in their stores. Market research is a real thing, and it can be useful in figuring out what to stock. No sympathy for this "head-in-the-sand" management style, although I do feel sorry for the workers who will lose their jobs.
ReplyDeleteWell hell! I guess I have to go back to buying my toys at Priscillas.
