Here's Mayor Sly offering another hypocritical complaint about news coverage despite the fact that articles in this town are love letters written in his honor.
Take a look:
"A shame to see @KCStar misrepresented my remarks from yesterday’s event. My faith in the skilled union workers who will build the new KCI has never wavered. Here’s what I actually said":
Even a quick glimpse at the video reveals that his divisive tone and the text of his remarks was accurate.
However, what's even more important is that TKC REPORTING IS PROVEN CORRECT AGAIN . . . THE MAYOR IS TOUTING UNIONS OVER MBE/WBE ADVOCATES.
Developing . . .
Expect a 1 billion cost overrun.
ReplyDeleteskilled... union workers!
ReplyDeleteoxymoron
There would be a cost overrun with MBW/WBEs anyway, but at least the unions know how to do the work.
ReplyDeleteMore comedy gold from Mayor Bullhorn. Never change, clown. :)
ReplyDeleteThe mayor is looking for an ally.
ReplyDeleteHere's the problem, if he goes with the Unions, they are going to overturn Edgemoor in favor of Burns & McDonnell.
Now more than ever it's clear the Mayor just doesn't know what he's doing.
Sly deserves push back on this and more.
ReplyDeleteWhat we really need to do is fix Buck O'Neil bridge and improve traffic. Not award contracts to cronies.
I thought The Star took daily calls from the mayor where he dictated his agenda and they printed it verbatim. I read it here...constantly.
ReplyDeleteYOU MEAN THAT'S NOT TRUE??? I'm shocked!!!
Union workers will get the job done on time on budget and with quality work, the mwbe clowns will need more time more money and the work will be substandard, the repair work will kill us in the end because they will need repairs to the new work within six months.
ReplyDeleteMexicans will get the job done quicker with quality work and way cheaper than union jackoff crybabies. Then when it’s done we can deport all of them at once.

ReplyDeleteSlie and Democrat greedy union slobs scamming the taxpayers
SLIE is greedy, the unions just pay their workers well. I don’t have a problem with the second one, nope, not one bit
ReplyDeleteThe unions fight for their money and rightly so, sLIE just steals it
ReplyDeleteApproximately 50 people in attendance for this propaganda.
ReplyDelete"We don't just pass laws or make policies out of the blue, we collect and analyze relevant facts and data, with an eye toward creating sustainable solutions.....with a key emphasis on the word "sustainable" solutions.....It's not about checking off boxes on a list of campaign promises for short-term political goals. That's not what this is about."
CHILDREN
At this point, the Mayor starts blabbing about things that the City really doesn't control, nor should they get involved with. This is James' standard public speaking PR babble about 3rd grade readers, parent/child relationships, etc. He delivers this droll in a hectoring manner towards his audience. Then he launches into his anti-gun tirade, and claims that he shoulders the burden of KC's cancer of violence. He then immediately transfers his burden onto those who fail to call the police, and those who don't agree with his anti-gun policies. I think he accepted some responsibility there for less than a minute, before blaming others. Surprised?
Getting carried away blaming others, James' tells how his daughter committed insurance fraud by purposely driving into high water ruining her Nissan, because she wanted the settlement money to buy a new Jeep. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree!
AIRPORT TERMINAL
"All the hogs wanting to belly up to the billion-dollar trough and suck out what they can. And to do it any way they can." While pointing the finger at the Council and others, James conveniently suffers amnesia concerning his SECRET negotiations with his largest campaign contributor (Burns and McDonnell) to be handed a no-bid billion-dollar contract.
Ok, I think we've seen plenty of this flim-flam artist forcing boondoggle after boondoggle onto a tax-oppressed public. Say goodnight Sylvester.
Don't use words when you don't know what they mean, Mayor Bullhorn. Such as: 'shame'.
ReplyDeleteEXCELLENT comment 6:08.
ReplyDeleteSly is a turd.
ReplyDeleteDoes Sly actually think anyone believes a word of his lies? If so, he is even dumber than he looks, and he looks really dumb.
ReplyDeleteskilled.... college graduates!
ReplyDeleteeven bigger oxymoron.
Really sad to see Sly get into name calling. I have my criticisms with the Mayor but I don't think he's a bad person, just misguided on a lot of policies. But he has been letting his temper get the best of him lately.
ReplyDelete6:08 FOR THE WIN!
ReplyDeleteStraight up DEVASTATES the mayor.
