KANSAS CITY, Mo. - With 150 homicides recorded, 2017 was the deadliest year for Kansas City since 1993. KCPD broke down 2017's crime statistics at Wednesday's Neighborhoods and Public Safety Committee meeting. Overall violent and property crimes were up from the previous year.

  1. I think we can get to 200 this year even though we are off to a slow start. I am counting on the usually ineffective KCPD and the worthless prosecutor Jean Petersucker Baker to continue their lack of effort in lowering crime.

    1. I think you’re a sad, lonely, loser begging someone to acknowledge you. 6:58PM on a Wednesday night. Sad and pathetic.

    2. Yeah, 7:26PM is much better, makes all the difference in the world.

  2. City & Police want to do the following to reduce crime for 2018:

#1 - Add a social worker at each police station
#2 - Add a Community Interaction Officer at each Patrol Division
#3 - Police Chief have weekly meetings with every patrol commander
    #4 - Add a Violence Program Coordinator

Sounds like Crime is already running scared, eh?

  3. Remove gay sLIE from the police board would be a huge help

  4. Hey 6:58PM, I don’t know if anyone has told you, because it’s obvious you have no friends or family, but I will. You aren’t funny or clever in the least. There. Charity work done for the day.

  5. 6:58 speaks the truth, there is no one trying to do anything about crime and murders because they know that petersucker won’t put anyone in prison. It is sad and pathetic 7:26 that you don’t recognize this

    1. It’s really sad and pathetic that you think wishing for 200 homicides is the “truth”. You are a sorry excuse for a human being.

    2. Calm down, snowflake. It’s mostly just hood rats killing other hood rats.

    1. Hey at least 7:46 is original. You would eat shit if someone told you to.

  7. Don’t be surprised if the city council needs 10 million dollars to study how to “curb violence”

  8. Openly wishing for 200 homicides is pretty pathetic, even for this low-life blog. What’s worse is numb skulls like 7:47 trying to justify it.

    1. Is that any worse than the indifference of Sly, the city council, Jean Petersucker Baker?

    2. Or the KCPD? They don’t care either.

    3. Actually, lots of Demecrat controlled cities, like Chicago or Baltimore, are having the same problem.

    4. Yes it is worse. That fact that you can post shit like this anonymously is the only reason you say it. You seem like too big a pussy, and too much a chickenshit coward to sign your real name to it. Isn’t that so loser?

  9. I agree with 7:52 it's the blacks who need to stop killing. Sad to say it's a fact they have ruined many cities in this country.

  10. Jean Petersucker Baker is a fantastic prosecutor. If you’re a criminal.

  13. Well I think 200 is unlikely. A 20% increase would be huge and that would only put the total at 180. 150 might be all we can do.

  14. ^^^^So do snowflakes

  15. We have a mayor that could not care less about crime. Same with the city council. Police department possibly experiencing Ferguson effect. And the worst prosecutor in the country, Jean Petersucker Baker.

  16. 180 would be sweet! And we can blame the snowflakes because they suck at life!!!

  17. O.K. Is it 149 or 150 Need an absolute final number or the bookies with the Dead pools won't pay off.

    ReplyDelete
  18. So what’s the O/U for 2018?

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think 162. That high would be tragic but just goin' with the trend. I personally hope it'd a lot lower.

  20. Its been a good year for Cordish.

  21. KCPD lacks the initiative to fight crime. Worthless.

  22. Talk about total crime numbers for the greater Metropolitan area, then you see how bad it is. Or ignore it for a decade and be surprised that it comes back and bites you.

The trends here make Chicago look good. But a short Streetcar extension in a questionable area is our priority. It would be good to have some details and an agreed process up front on how the "transit" direction is pursued. The Chamber is chronically an underperformer, though the swells and their crony front men certainly pat themselves on the back a lot. Time for a photo op and then two years later, a bad hangover
