Tensions run high at the courthouse amid an ongoing battle over funding and diverted funds . . . Courthouse insiders told us about this dust and we blog it over the weekend. Now it's new fact:
Jackson County Legislative Meeting Devolves Into Raised Voices And Threats Of Lawsuits
The first part of the regular Monday meeting of the Jackson County Legislature was perfunctory, nothing but routine county business. By the end voices had been raised, the county's lawyer was pacing and it appeared the Legislature and County Executive were going to court to settle who controls the anti-drug program known as COMBAT.
And yet nothing will happen
ReplyDeleteEven the county exec still controls COMBAT Frank can't use these funds to pay salaries for the chief of staff and his PR staff.
ReplyDelete^^^ 7:15 knows the deal.
ReplyDeleteYeah there's going to be an all out bitch fight for this slush fund. Can't wait to renew COMBAT when it comes up again.
ReplyDeleteI can run the slush fund.
ReplyDeleteCourthouse employees have no respect for Jean Petersucker Baker. Neither do criminals, judges, police or defense attorneys.
ReplyDeleteThere's an easy solution. Disband the program and return the money to its rightful owners, the taxpayers. There isn't a politician delusional enough to suggest that COMBAT is in any sense of the word effective or successful. End the program; end the standoff.
ReplyDelete@ 8:51 Frank White is losing more respect and credibility with each passing day. The guy had a golden reputation until he got into local politics, but now the cat is out of the bag. He mismanaged his personal finances and is now making backroom deals and fast becoming the most corrupt local pol we've got to enrich himself at the public's expense.
ReplyDeleteShut it down!!.
ReplyDeleteThis whole fucking county is a joke! The feds need to come in and wipe the slate clean!
ReplyDeleteMabey from another region..cause they r brotherhoods in crime...on Ur dime.
