IS KANSAS CITY BETTER OR WORSE ONE YEAR AFTER PREZ TRUMP TAKES OFFICE?!?

Just like the election, debate over the tenure of Prez Trump usually breaks down along partisan lines and involves boring people hurling mean-spirited insults at their opposition.

However, Kansas City has felt the impact of Prez Trump mostly by way of negative reinforcement. Translation: The Prez Trump one year anniversary in KCMO is marked by stuff that didn't happen or stopped over the past year.

A few examples . . .

- Kansas City is more violent under the reign of Prez Trump so far - Chicago's murder rate fell but the past year under Prez Trump locally continues to prove exceptionally violent. To be fair, a renewed public discussion and fed resources to "Make America Safe Again" seem to hold promise but have yet to take hold.

- Goverment Funding For The Kansas City Streetcar has dried up under Prez Trump - The toy train is so desperate for cash that it's seeking private money . . . Instead of just charging a fare. Streetcars were championed by Prez Obama and the current administration's disdain for Tiger Grants and other trendy urban core economic schemes has stalled progress.

- The Kansas City metro still awaits tidal wave of progressive female political pushback - Don't get it twisted, there are some great lady politicos out there who have had success in representing their supporters. But the best of them mostly skew Conservative. Meanwhile, aggressive progressive hopefuls like strident women's rights activists like Hillary Shields were soundly defeated amid outcry over the questionable tactics of her opposition.

Beyond all the left vs. right bickering . . . The question really belongs to residents of the metro:

IS KANSAS CITY BETTER OR WORSE ONE YEAR AFTER PREZ TRUMP HAS TAKEN OFFICE?!?!

  1. Definitely worse.

Old, useless a$$holes now think that a billionaire has their back.

But it did prove the twitter is for trolls.

    Life is give and take.

  3. Nothing has changed.

You've been tricked, hoodwinked, bamboozled, led astray, run amock.

  6. Way better off, but it has nothing to do with Trump being president. It has everything to do with dumb fuck Obama not being president. Plus I am fucking the shut out of a little 20 year old slut from Leawood.

  7. Worse. Look at the carnage he promised to end on his inauguration. He said that was over on day one. Guess he lied.

  12. Find the Trump promise to end the carnage in our American cities on day one? He lied. Didn’t he say Mexico was going to pay for the wall? Whey is he asking the taxpayers to pay for it now? He lied. Didn’t he say he was going to end the war in Afghanistan? Why did he send several thousand more troops there? He lied. Didn’t he say he was going to save the Carrier plant in Indiana and save those American Jobs? Why did they close and ship those jobs to India? He lied.

  14. Trump has touched all our financial lives more than any president since FDR. Lower taxes 401k up 30+%, unemployment down, food stamp and unemployment claims are down. We and the world have a true leader like him or not things are on an upswing like none of us have ever seen. Grow up and admit it than ask your Congress member to work with the president, he has accomplished all he has with next to no help!

    1. Well said, 638. I say kudos to the guy for not giving a flip what the media or his critics say. The media is still in shock and anger that St. Hillary didn’t win in the landslide they all predicted. Trumps critics are either the SJWs who live to protest anything but hugs and handouts, and the bitter set who will always be angry that someone or something (i.e. Wall Street) has more than they do. Both groups need to face the mean, ugly word called “reality.”

  15. Ha. He has accomplished nothing. The Market is independent of the president. Only a fool would think he has anything to do with it. Thank McConnell and Ryan for the tax cuts, Trump actually had no idea what was in it. He just wanted something to sign.

  17. Trump is doing okay, not sure that he is going to make it past all of these Russian questions though. It seems like a lot of his supporters are shady and involved in some questionable stuff.

He generously spreads the taxpayer money around his properties.

Since KS & MO doesn't, we're just another shithole that gets nothing.

  31. But, but, if I make $50k a year I'm going to save $1200 on my annual taxes! That's $100/month! What will I do with all that extra cash...the economy will explode baby!

  32. I am getting kind of pissed that Trump has not built that wall around Kansas City. Those of us outside the city limits are still being force to deal with teh scum bag and shit that comes out of KC to ride the thuggery circuit.

    ReplyDelete
  33. That is a $100 more than Billary would have gave you. Trump wanted more, but could not het it. Remember all he is not a Democrat or a Republican, they all dislike him just like they dislike all of us.
