DISGRACE!!! OVERRATED KANSAS CITY CHIEFS BLOW EPIC LEAD & LOSE ANOTHER HOME PLAYOFF GAME TO TITANS 22-21!!!

Typical Kansas City hype fails to live up to reality on a cold Saturday night.

In a historic defeat, Kansas City suffered TWENTY unanswered points in the final half of the playoff game.

THIS IS THE 6TH CONSECUTIVE PLAYOFF DEFEAT FOR THE KANSAS CITY CHIEFS!!! THEY HAVEN'T WON AT HOME SINCE TKC WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Highlight . . .

Titans QB Marcus Mariota threw a touchdown pass to himself.

After TE Travis Kelce was knocked out the game, the team simply wasn't the same.

QB Alex Smith offered a valiant effort that met with bitter defeat.

Controversial CB Marcus Peters also earned a key interception and even a glimmer of hope for last minute forced-fumble salvation that was ultimately just a bit of easily debunked trickery.

A missed field goal actually started the downward spiral.

Real talk: Only local losers will blame the refs and a solid ruling for this defeat - Arguments against the officiating really sheds some light tragic gullibility of fans at Arrowhead.

Again, it's worth noting that THIS WAS NOT A SELLOUT GAME FOR KANSAS CITY and a lot of fans stayed home - Possibly expecting the worst.

And so, now in the winter of our discontent: Another season ends in failure for the Kansas City.

New visitors to the blog tonight might not know that every Saturday night we finish with a TKC PLAYLIST of songs that define a local trend or topic.

Tonight's mostly old school tunes are dedicated to the losing playoff legacy of the Kansas City Chiefs . . .

Let's go through them one by one . . . Shall we???

More than any other song, Born To Lose by Marty Robbins speaks to the longstanding tradition of Kansas City Chiefs playoff disappointment.

I'm A Loser by The Beatles is an apt song for tonight because the last time the team was REALLY competitive in the post-season, this band was still together.

Phil Collins - I Missed Again is a campy 80s tune just for TKC but the Brit king of rock ballads is wearing Chiefs red for most of this upbeat clip.

Loser by Beck - A 90s classic because, again, the last time the Chiefs won a home playoff game - This GenX anthem was nearly at the height of its popularity.

Losers by The Weeknd brings us back to the current-era and what some deem a "post-literate society" wherein Americans are ruled by emotions as history and data are no longer as important as partisan rhetoric that mostly serves to enforce the status quo whilst growing income inequality takes hold of the United States.

As always, thanks for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.

Thanks defense for making my buddy a paycheck- specials thanks to playcalling in 2nd half and Andy Reed who must have had some skin in the offensive play-calling... Thanks for all the dropped asses.. I mean passes.

  18. Any MORON that tries to lay this on Alex Smith is just that....a MORON. The NFL's leading rusher touches the ball 11 times. That alone is reason to fire Andy "the Fat Fucking Same One and Done" Reid. Add to it....needing a FIELD GOAL for the win in the last two minutes of the game.....Fat Fuck calls time out and lays this turd on us.....He has Alex Smith throw a pass down the deep middle of the field. This with a midget, second or third rate receiver that lets the ball go off his fingers. Fat Fuck Reid only need 10 yards to be in field goal range for the win. Once again.....One and Done Reid. That fat fuck needs to go eat another cheeseburger. Dumb ass fat fuck.

  19. The chiefs are the football version of the Chicago Cubs, you chumps keep believin and your great, great, great grandkids might see a playoff victory! Lmao!!!

  20. Reid needs to go but Clarkie boy won’t fire him, as long as fans keep buying tickets Clarkie isn’t go to change anything. The blame should fall on the owner and his staff period, well, and the dumbass fans that keep buying tickets too

  21. stepping way back from the situation, i’m asking myself if the top guy has the fire in the belly or the killer instinct or the will to win.

it seems likes pretty good is always good enough and not a big deal to fade in the playoffs.

  28. I've been telling you other posters here for the past 18 weeks that there was no chance of a SuperBowl by the KC Griefs. They have sucked you fans in for 48 straight years. Yes almost half a century since they last went to and won the SuperBowl. That was when the sainted Lamar reasoned the team only had to be good enough to get occasionally to the playoffs. Sell Tickets, fill the stadium, have you buy $8 beer and pay $60 parking. Just don't win in the post season so the players don't make bonuses.
Like lemmings over and over again you get sucked in by the sports reporters that every year tell you "This is the year".
The NFL is like crack to you old whores.

  29. $8:00 beer? Is that all it is? Anyway's, they have been to a Super Bowl and the Detroit Lions haven't. SAD.

I didn't watch the first half, I was out looking at Eagles near the lake. The end I did see. I was offered many tickets, including 4 on the Visitor side 10 rows back at the 35. No parking pass. NOBODY wanted to go. NOBODY! Fuck You NFL

  32. Another embarrassment for the Chiefs which sums up the city as a whole. With a few exceptions, everyone and everything here is a joke. From the leadership at 18th and Vine, to decades of local political corruption, to George Brett shilling for earpieces We are never going to be able to attract world class business such as Amazon despite our advantage of location in the center of the contiguous States.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well, now that the usual whiny bitch trolls have posted their pissy little attacks on Tony (we treasure every word, jellybellies, keep 'em coming, it's the only "coming" you get to do!) we can get on with it.

I sympathize with any of you who are sports fans, but isn't this just typical play on the Chief's part? They and the Royals always seem to lose their "spark" every time they get into an "overwhelming" lead, don't they?

I don't follow them closely enough to judge the quality of their coaching, but isn't it the Coach's job to "keep the fire stoked", no matter what the score is? Easy enough to mock the players, but they are nothing more than paid "professional entertainers", and they will indulge the natural human tendency to slack off unless someone is staying on top if the situation.

Maybe I'm wrong, but the failure seems obvious, how can you expect a group of people who have been treated as "something special", pampered, and carried on a pillow as a celebrity since early High School to be self-motivating?

  34. This was a sad defeat. We'll get them again next year! just keep buying those season tickets!
