TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! EXEC FRANK WHITE FINISHES 2017 AT WAR WITH ALL THREE BRANCHES OF JACKSON COUNTY!!!

During a tumultuous 2017 at the Jackson County Courthouse the legacy of Frank White was transformed from a baseball hall of fame player to that of an embattled politician.

To wit . . .

INSIDERS WARN THAT JACKSON COUNTY EXEC FRANK WHITE CONFRONTS FULL BLOWN WAR AGAINST EVERY BRANCH OF JACKSON COUNTY GOVERNMENT!!!

Let's review . . .

First up, Team Frank White's has feuded with the Sheriff's office throughout his tenure but debate over budget allocations brought the dispute to the public eye. The reality is that Exec Frank White has a chilly relationship with the law enforcement branch of Jackson County and there is little chance for improvement given a continued money crunch brought on by problems with the jail.

Further up the food chain . . .

In a recent press release, Exec White expressed disappointment with the Prosecutor's office for its participation in enacting "unlawful ordinances" that stripped away control of the COMBAT anti-crime program from the Exec. Behind the scenes, Courthouse politics and competing personalities have put these two interests at odds. More to the point, Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker made an early decision to limit her support of the new Exec and that proved to the beginning of an inevitable fight.

Finally . . .

The Jackson County Legislature has united against Exec White and basically nullified his authority in office. Without the power to influence votes or win by way of executive order or veto . . . At this point, Exec White is nothing more than a figurehead.

The forecast for 2018 . . .

Insiders explain that the only hope Exec White has of turning the tide is to help raise money and attention for opponents to his opposition on the Legislature during election year 2018. This will take a great deal of work and a concentrated effort - Like it or not, Exec White hasn't shown much interest in learning the intricacies of Courthouse politics over the past year and it remains to be seen if he'll roll up his sleeves and do the kind of grunt work required to oust, replace and threaten his political opposition.

In the meantime . . .

Expect continued beef betwixt Exec White and just about every other politico in Jackson County.

Developing . . .

  1. What's worse about all of this is that it's going to happen at the expense of taxpayers.

While you're watching frank & the gang fight. Just remember that your property tax bill is going to get another boost that's much higher than cost of living increases or a raise in salary for most.

    1. 1/2 term Frank.

    2. Jail stuff isn't over yet. Just like KC murders, his task force isn't going to do much when it gets going and in the middle of it there will be more news about abuses and lawsuits. And yes, it's going to cost everyone who lives in the county.

  2. Frank is quite simply a royal fuck-up. Now that the trouble with his personal finances has been made public, it's plain that his one and only reason for being county executive is that he needs the six-figure salary. He isn't interested in serving the public just himself.

  3. Here is the problem, who is going to run against him?

Do you really think that everyone is going to rally behind Tarwater? Not going to happen, Frank has way more name recognition than that and that effort will fail miserably.

Honestly think that they're trying to get Frank White to quit so we can all go back to county business as usual because there still isn't a viable candidate out there who could beat him.

  4. ^^^ Jean would make a good opponent. It would almost be like following the footsteps of McCaskill and she's smart enough not to stick around and let the county ruin her like Mike did.

  5. I'd love for Frank to have a real opponent for the exec job. Imagine him debating the jail, the continually screwed up Assessment Dept that appears to have given Frank's own house a tax break in the form of a low ball property value, his letting an unelected prick like Caleb Clifford essentially run roughshod over the whole county, and, of course, the mystery "gift" that saved Frank from being foreclosed on.

  6. 8:07 Frank's name recognition is dramatically shifting, from beloved ex-baseball player to clueless and possibly corrupt self-serving polician only in it for the money. His incompetence has nearly gotten people killed in the jail.

  7. If he had half a brain and that's probably debatable, Frank White ought to be more worried in 2018 about being investigated instead of elected. Anybody thinking his deal with Mike Sanders and Ken McClain was just a "gift" is an idiot.

  8. Killa city, jackson county, all once well run and great places to live...... put blacks in charge and this is what happens

  9. 8:24 Plus Frank and Caleb have been handing out lots of $$$$$ in no-bid contracts without the Legislature's approval. Starting with the $60,000 given Mike Sanders and now over 200,000 to Graves.

  10. INSIDERS WARN, the reality is, behind the scenes, insiders explain.

A pile of unsubstantiated bullshit. Followed by a bold forecast of "it remains to be seen."

So hard hitting I can barely stand it!

"If I had a son...", and plenty more to get from google and other archives galore!

  11. 10:24 it does remain to be seen.

  12. Will Jackson County government continue to be a dysfunctional mess run by an incompetent, burdened by self-serving "legislators" who have provided consistently poor services to county residents, and waste millions on insider deals and upside-down priorities?
It DOESN'T remain to be seen.
The JaCo courthouse gang should merge with the clowns across the street at the KCMO city hall.
At least then the incompetence and mismanagement would be concentrated in one place.

  13. Frank will not finish his term. Count on it.

His corruption is just too blatant.

  14. Frank has lost the good name he had earned by his mastery of the game of baseball. Isn't there a Jr. Collage looking for a team manager somewhere ?

  15. The guy decided to live with a chip on his shoulder and it always brigs a person down.
