TKC MUST READ!!! SHOCK!!! PROGRESSIVE JOCO CANDIDATE FOR CONGRESS BRENT WELDER STANDS UP FOR $15 FAIR WAGE!!!
The upcoming election in JoCo is getting closer than most suburban voters realize and early on a real challenger to Congressman Kevin Yoder has emerged.
We've talked about Brent Welder previously and had a bit of fun with his endorsement from rapper Killer Mike.
But recently via social media . . .
BRENT WELDER IS MAKING WAVES WITH HIS $15 MINIMUM WAGE SUPPORT!!!
Check his position statement in no uncertain terms:
Now, this is important for a lot of reasons . . .
- There has been an influx of lower wage workers in the Kansas 3rd District. And yes, a lot of those people vote.
- Again, this is a hardline progressive position which strikes a DEFINITIVE difference betwixt Welder Vs. Rep. Yoder - Previously, Democratic Party candidates have simply attempted to adopt softer GOP policies rather than risk outright opposition.
- Remember that JoCo voted for Bernie and then Hillary. If Mr. Welder can capture more grassroots support among the emerging community of progressives in this enclave, he presents a real threat to Congressman Yoder.
Better still, some of the most vicious right-wing partisan hacks who have always accused Congressman Yoder of being a RINO must now tout his Conservative credentials if they want to keep the only county that matters in Kansas controlled by Republicans.
Developing . . .
Yoder by ten.
ReplyDeleteNot even close.
Don't underestimate the Bernie Bros!
ReplyDeleteMost of the jobs in question were jobs held part time by teenagers in years past.
ReplyDeleteBernie is a pinko.
ReplyDeleteWelder doesn't own a business or he would keep his mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteSo if they boost the MW to 15.00 hows that going to work in the real world for the people who have a actual meaningful job that took them 6 years to get to 18.oo a hour. If a Mcdonalds worker makes 15 and they just started there, 2 things are going to happen, 1 - everyone making above 15 is going to demand the diffence minimum wage pays now and a 15 hike in MW against what they are making now, 2- They will need that boost if they ever want to eat at shitdonalds!!!! Just saying!! If people who want want a MW hike of 15 a hour I get it, but there are many many people out there who make less and are trying to pay off a college education that couldnt land them 15 a hour, so why should someone who never went to college think they can demand make so much more?
ReplyDeleteBecause they're Millennials, raised by women. that's why
ReplyDeleteWelder isn’t a JoCo candidate. He’s from WyCo.
ReplyDeleteNo need for a minimum wage.
ReplyDeleteWhen the tax cuts pass, we all get a big raise.
Trump promised!
Yoder promised too!
ReplyDeleteWe all gettin' paid!
Yoder is a lifer.
