Tonight we consider the strongest players in Kansas City and offer a glimpse of strong women directing the local conversation despite nationwide obsession with #MeToo victimization.

JaxCo Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker

In a story that broke FIRST on TKC . . . Jackson County Prosecutor "Mean" Jean Peters Baker declined an invitation to join the Jail Task Force and joined the cacophony of voices demanding immediate action at the corrections center. Her power move has already elicited a response and serves as one of the strongest shows of political fortitude this week.

Council Coalition Looking For Downtown Kansas City Hotel Financial Deets

KCMO Councilwomen Heather Hall, Kathryn Shields and Teresa Loar are working to get taxpayers financial data they deserve regarding the proposed Downtown Hotel with legislation that demands transparency and accountability.

KC Pet Project Privatization

In a controversial move, KC Pet Project is soon to fire all of KCMO Animal Control workers. This takeover is celebrated by doggie lovers and decried by many denizens of the urban core - Either way it's a strong move toward PRIVATIZATION of City Hall services - This time pushed forward by progressives.

As always, this list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people.

Jean Petersucker Baker acted out of self preservation, preferring to distance herself from the jail disaster. She is still the worst prosecutor ever.
