Kansas City's biz paper of record rarely enters the culture war fray but this screed not only rages against the current #MeToo accusations of workplace impropriety but also offers some important data on the progress of local women breaking the glass ceiling. Read more:
Opinion: Best check against harassment by powerful men? More powerful women - Kansas City Business Journal
I've started a half-dozen times trying to write a column about the stream - make that raging river - of women's claims of sexual harrassment by high-profile, powerful men. Each met the "delete" key after seeming to come off as too naive, preachy or paternalistic (That one also was a bit violent - I have daughters.)

ReplyDeleteSo a million abortions every year would not be inappropriate sexual behavior? Lets out the bitches.
ReplyDelete^^^Nah. Let's(!) drop stupid comments on third rate blogs instead.
ReplyDeleteHmmm
ReplyDeleteI would argue that powerful women have mocked victimized women in the past (ie Bill Clintons accusers).
And I would guess that there are significantly powerful women in the entertainment industry that turned a blind eye to let a slew of women walk into a lions den.
This narrative that women will be the saviors is comical at best.
I forgot sanctimonious...
ReplyDeleteComical and sanctimonious.
In a few years this will be reversed: Girls in power will be laying the moves on their subordinate male employees. Read Michael Crichton's book, "Disclosure." Man was ahead of his time.
ReplyDeleteAnd remember, two can play this game, bitch.
A lot of these sexual harassment claims are false. In most cases, the girl willingly spreads her legs and gets fucked in order to get whatever she wants. When it ends of working ou differently than she wanted, she claims to be a victim
ReplyDelete@12:22PM, it's obvious from your comments, you don't do well with the ladies. It's most likely due to the fat that you're fat, stupid, ugly, bald, and broke. But you know, women are bitches I gues????
ReplyDeleteFound the feminist white knight mangina.
DeleteDelete my reply, Tony. I am not going to feed the trolls.

ReplyDeleteA former White House staffer for President Bill Clinton said housekeepers were constantly afraid of the president's lewd impulses, to the point where they had to take measures to protect themselves. "The housekeeping staff was afraid to bend over in his presence".
