White men dominate state judgeships in Kansas, Missouri - and the nation - Kansas City Business Journal
White men make up roughly half the population in Kansas, but 73 percent of judgeships in state courts. The figures ranked Kansas 42nd in terms of how representative state courts are of state residents, according to "The Gavel Gap," a study by American Constitution Society for Law and Policy.
