Kelly old school hotness inspires tonight's glimpse at all of the important local links tonight.

Sunflower State High Hopes

Jay Sidie faces a tougher road to the Democratic nomination in Kansas' 3rd District

In mid-October a year ago, Democrat Jay Sidie had his moment. Less than a month before Election Day, a new poll showed the political newcomer within 4 points of Republican incumbent Kevin Yoder for Kansas' 3rd District congressional seat in Johnson and Wyandotte counties.

It's ALWAYS The KC Hipster Weekend

Late Night Doughnuts & Other Weekend Possibilities

The world needs more ways to get doughnuts into your system. Doughnut Lounge (4147 Pennsylvania Ave.) has two new opportunities for you to make that happen. Their food truck hit the road recently, and they also launched a late-night doughnut menu this week. The Westport coffee, bar, and doughnut shop is now serving donuts from 8 p.m.

Lower KC Chiefs Expectations

Updating the Chiefs final record probabilities

We all know I'm obsessed with Andy Reid's record against playoff and non-playoff teams (if you didn't know, now you do.) My obsession is caused by the fact that Reid's records against playoff/non-playoff teams have helped me predict the Chiefs regular season record from 2014 through 2016.

And this is the OPEN THREAD for tonight . . .

  1. This will be the last article on Sidie. He won't win the primary.

    A newcomer will beat Yoder.

Time to drain the swamp. Start with the skinny dipper.

  2. Jay Sidie looks like a pathetic homeless hitchhiker...

And some new Dem dude today that Tony profiled actually was in a cluster of protestors at Yoder's office today, while Yoder was voting in Congress for a middle class tax break.

Seriously, folks. Protestors are not of the class of people who get elected to Congress. They are whiners, not winners.

Kevin Yoder does a great job for us. And for the first time in many decades, we have a Congressman who serves on the very powerful House appropriations Committee. (whereas Dennis Moore, nice guy till he got dementia, and his familiy lied about it and propped him up like a Howdy Doody puppet), served only on some small business committee and his one accomplishment was naming some stupid post office.

I appreciate the urge for change. Dems and RINO's of PV--here is some serious advice: Go concentrate on other races...

  3. Yoder voted for a middle class tax increase today.

    He is finished.

The bill also borrow and spends $1.5 trillion to allow Ivanka and Donny Jr to get their trust funds tax free.

    Primary time.

Tracy making fun of the way someone looks? Get a fucking mirror, you freak show! And enjoy the $50 annual savings from the House tax bill Yoder voted for. And here I thought you were anti-corporate welfare.

  7. Sidie 2018 is a good candidate, just like Claire 2018 and Hillary 2020.
