  1. Rather, the question should be,

"If you do the Crime, does it matter if you've done the Time?"

What possible difference does the shooter's age make when a three-year-old is gunned down in their own front yard?

Remember that the Death Penalty, when actually carried out, has been proven to cut down on Recidivism.

  2. why does it have to be age sensitive at all? Judge them on the actual crime. A 15 year old knows right from wrong. We are letting too many become serial offenders by turning them loose on an unsuspecting society.

  4. It doesn't matter if we raise the age to 21. The truth is prosecutors can try any damn juvenile they wish, as an adult, simply by certification. The problem isn't the age. the problem is we don't do shit with juveniles and defer their real punishment until they are adults. This provides near no deterrent to crime. We need juvenile boot camps with speedy adjudications and tough standards. Make the grade and your record is destroyed. Fuck up and your as belongs to God. The way we do it now is we just shuffle a lot of paper, talk a lot of shit and about the only thing the juvenile learns is a new way to beat the system. If the juvenile grows up and stays clean he learns, when he is 45 years old, that he is now being punished through restricted rights and bullshit that no one even mentioned when they were trying to get him to plea to in order to score an adjudication. This is one fucked juvenile justice system.
