KANSAS CITY SUNDAY NIGHT LAST WORDS!!!

Just a bit of follow-up regarding the ongoing debate over patriotism that passed over Kansas City amid bye-week . . .

"Fans angry with the NFL and its protesting players called for a boycott on Veterans Day weekend. But other fans showed up to Sunday’s games, and in greater numbers than they had averaged all season."

And this contrary indicator leads us to the topic of a Sunday late night post . . .

Amid our constant news blasts, there's not always room for feedback and ALTERNATIVE HOT TAKES from the KICK-ASS DENIZENS OF TKC . . . And so . . .

HERE'S A QUICK COLLECTION OF READER NOTES AND PERSPECTIVES FOR CONTEMPLATION SUNDAY NIGHT!!!

We may not agree BUT we ALWAYS want to take note of THE KANSAS CITY ALTERNATIVE CONVERSATION that's increasingly shunned by the Internets hive mind.

Take a look at a few of the standout notes from our readers tonight . . .

Kansas City Soothsayer Conspiracy???

A local skeptic writes:

"I'd think the CITY could be sued for "willful engagement" of allowing these type of snake oil scam shops to operate by offering them permits, business licenses and occupational licenses in the 1st place, that makes the CITY liable as a co-conspirators to FRAUD & Corruption . . .

And then . . .

Kansas City Veteran Buffet Push Back

A note on a discount and maybe a backwards break for Vets who should be eating healthier anyhoo . . .

"Golden Corral doesn't post on the front of their business doors that Veterans Appreciation Day is on Monday? Why this a big deal is that a corporate giant in the food industry can just erase Veterans Day because it's not convenient for them? Here's the catch, they let a Veterans Service Organization Officer stand by the cash register with a cash donation bucket so Golden Corral is able to serve up an Orwellian Buffet. Once these old vets have been standing in line waiting to get a table for twenty minutes they get snagged with a full price fir their plate. Granted most restaurant food isn't that healthy and it certainly not healthy enough to eat twice in 48 hours so why would anyone turn around, walk out and come back to Golden Corral on Monday? And who's running the Bingo Hall for these Service Organizations on Saturday Night that can free these guys up to stand all day at Golden Corral?"

Finally . . .

AN OBITUARY FOR KAY SEEYIGH´

A reverent TKC reader offers this document to a bygone era . . .

Born in Kansas City, MO on October 23rd, 1972, our beloved Kay Seeyigh´, died unexpectedly on November 7, 2017, of unnatural causes. She was 45 years young. Kay was a faithful public servant who, with a smile and open arms, welcomed everyone who came through her front door. Throughout her joyous life, Kay entertained visitors from the U.S. and abroad, including service-members.

She was a matriarch of convenience and hospitality.

Of course, Kay can never be replaced, but she will live on in our fondest memories. May she always rest in peace, smiling down from above.

Kay will be cremated. No services are planned. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date.

Rest in Peace, Kay

As always, thanks for reading this week and we hope to have more for the morning update . . . STAY TUNED!!!

  1. More like a eulogy for KC on the way to bankruptcy.

This week KC's fate was sealed. We're going the way of baltimore and Detroit, not Portland.

    Sorry.

    1. Don't be so glum about it. Those places are way overrated. Tourism coverage just never shows you all of the heroin addicts, homeless and crime that those cities cope with as well. Drill down just a bit more and you'll see the reality beyond promotional hype.

    2. TKC is possibly the weirdest "place" in Kansas City and that's not such a bad thing. Thanks for posting, there needs to be some place to get some of this stuff in KC. I don't have a drunk uncle so this has to do.

      Lulz.

    3. KC has got a lot of problems but we'll never have a shortage of pissed off people.

      Thank God.

  2. Byron Funkhouser11/13/17, 12:22 AM

The NFL protests were not about patriotism. They were about police brutality.

Byron's wife: "Kneeling isn't disrespectful. If they wanted to be disrespectful they would ignore the anthem entirely, & pretend that it wasn't playing."

    1. Wrong, retard. We have less police brutality than ever right now and more murders right now. We need more police brutality right now to keep “them” in line. If a few of them get killed because of police brutality it is well worth it.

  3. Well, we got rid of that barefoot buffoon.

  4. Yep, KCI suffered an untimely death last week. It's amazing the number of KC natives who think differently than the semi-brainwashed 75%. I say 'semi cuz all the glossy brochures and door-to-door interaction surely tipped the balance, and perhaps a majority are KC transplants or too young to care or understand the historical perspective and KCI's unique design.

I had posted the issue of electrical and water lines originating in terminal A recently, due to the fact it was mentioned by one of the panelists on KCPT's 'Ruckus'after the election, so it wasn't just out of the blue.

FINAL thought: are we hometown residents so unworthy that business and out-of-towners' satisfaction supersedes our own? We are going to be on the hook one way or another... and the glittery billion + replacement may just end up an albatross.

  6. WHO THE FUCK GOES TO KILLA CITY BESIDES TO GET KILLED

  7. Why do you people argue with Byron. Don't you know it makes his dick hard and he likes jacking off to your comments made at him. The guy is a sick pervert who if we had the mental facilities we had 50 years ago would be locked up where he belongs.

  8. Better leave the Marks alone. Might be that some of that bad stuff can be guided.
