Here's 12th & Oak kicking a very costly can down the road and setting up another future "emergency" request for local taxpayers:
KC And State Officials Agree To Repair Buck O'Neil Bridge To Buy Time For Full Replacement
In a big breakthrough for downtown commuters, Missouri highway and Kansas City officials have come up with an interim repair plan that avoids closing the Buck O'Neil Bridge entirely and buys time for a hoped-for, permanent replacement. The tentative plan would address critical repair needs to the bridge that carries U.S.
They need to make it more suicide friendly.
ReplyDeleteSpeed the billion on a new bridge with road north of river going through a tunnel under the new KCI using the old airport and the Harlem district. Win, win, win.
ReplyDeleteWhere has all the money gone, where has it gone it is goooooooone.
ReplyDeleteIt was the Broadway Bridge when is in decent shape, interesting name change.
ReplyDeleteIt would be great if KC did REGULAR maintenance on ANYTHING in this one-horse town. Don't count on a new bridge anytime soon. City Hall is bent on punishing the Northland for not supporting their hare-brained ideas.
ReplyDeleteTear down that bridge. It is a symbol of our racist baseball past.
