Jackson County Exec Frank White Still Playing Defense Against Angry Legislature

Newspaper takes the side of the County Exec for some reason. Here's their take on the story of ongoing slapfighting . . .

With veto, Frank White lands blow in feud with Jackson County Legislature

In the latest round of the feud between County Executive Frank White and the Jackson County Legislature, White has vetoed an Oct. 25 ordinance creating three well-paid jobs that duplicate duties already performed by White's staff. He made the announcement ahead of Monday's regular meeting of the legislature, which could override White's veto if at least two-thirds of the nine-members choose to do so.

  1. It’s not really landing a blow when they immediately override the veto

  2. What's so typical and so sad about these clowns is that this fight is over JOBS at the courthouse, which mostly have to do with hiring supporters, contributors, and friends, rather than about addressing serious and pressing issues like the jail or where all the COMBAT money goes.
It's always about them and never about the taxpaying residents who expect and deserve just a little bit of competence and results for their money.
Fighting over nothing while the place burns down.

  3. Frank White needs to just go. He's incompetent and has surrounded himself with incompetents, starting with Caleb Clifford and Angie Jeffries.

  4. Frank White really has embarrassed himself as the County Exec. I used to think he got royally screwed (haha) by David Glass and Co., but now I'm thinking Frank was the asshole all along and got what he had coming to him.
