Columnist Steve Rose Seyz YES To New Airport From The Comfort Of Johnson County!!!

Dead-Tree media advice from yet another multimillionaire enjoying the Golden Ghetto good life regarding the financial decisions of broke-ass KCMO:

A plea from the suburbs: Vote yes for a new KCI terminal

Millions of individuals who live in this region and use KCI and want to see it expand will be deprived of a vote Tuesday. It is up to the voters of Kansas City to cast their ballots in favor of a new airport terminal.

  1. This actually makes me want to vote no. Guys like Rose fled the city and took their executive salaries and taxes with them. Sorry KC, I’m going to move out to the country club and you poor slobs can take care of the streets, ball parks, aging infrastructure I helped wear down, etc.. Oh, and I need a new airport because I live so far away now that I’m hungry by the time I get there and need a tofu fix.

Bite me. If you want a yes vote, move your ass back to KC and pitch in.

  2. Oh Lordy!!! Praise be and thank you, Jesus!!! Steve Rose has seen fit to bestow his blessing and direction on the lowly and unworthy masses. May we be forever blessed with his divine guidance.

  3. Rose never lived in Kansas City, he has stayed in the golden ghetto with his kind. You know the kind who that think everyone else should pay for their perks.

  5. Funny how those on the Kansas side have used the mayors past and especially the present dumbass mayor to get things they want built on the Missouri side that they don’t have to pay for. What does kansas bring to the table, nothing but I want this or that, it’s almost like welfare for them

  6. You mean Steve Rose had not been outed by some young boys in the #METOO movement? Interesting.

  7. All those pushing the airport live in KANSAS:::
Steve Rose, Steve Kraske, Dave Helling, George Brett, Peggy Dunn, Joe Reardon, the head of the KC area Chamber of Commerce, lives in Kansas... What's wrong with this picture???

Why don't they build their own airport? Oops... "THERE IS NO POLITICAL WILL TO BUILD AN AIRPORT IN KANSAS".. It wold take at least 10 years and billions of dollars...

  8. Does Kansas stand for professional processes, integrity, public openness, full consideration with deliberation, or is Steve Rose just concerned he may not get invited to some party.

This is about setting a standard Steve, you used to understand that. You yourself have said a fix was in, and the process was horrible, how do we correct that if you rubber stamp it?

  9. Steve and his fellow suburbanites want the dumb KCMO taxpayers to build an airport worthy of a world-class city. Really? Where is this world-class city going to be located? Leawood, Mission Hills, Prairie Village, or south toward the Miami County line?

Stevo and Company have nothing but contempt for those of us who live on the Missouri side of the state line. Contempt and derision flow from his mighty pen every time he talks about us.

We have picked up the tab for amenities that benefit everyone - including those so blessed to live in the Golden Ghetto. I'm voting NO on November 7 in an attempt to stop City Hall and the JoCo supporters from picking my pocket once again.

  10. Stink Rose is a goof for his "Emily" story that printed on Mother's Day a couple years ago.
Rose slammed a mom in JoCo who was collecting welfare many years for herself and FOUR kiddos by FOUR baby daddies. Rose doesn't explain why the OBVIOUSLY deadbeat daddies aren't providing. He never says the Kansas State SRS can't locate the losers. He doesn't assert that they're incarcerated, unemployed, or, dead.

When will the Star print his fiction, er, I mean followup to Rose's "Emily"? Yeah, maybe on Father's Day.

  11. the story in the star a week ago by eric adler was the best informative piece and, thereby, the most persuasive.

he compared three medium-sized new airports elsewhere and illustrated how it's possible to build a new airport that's ok.

i'm still against a new kci.

  12. That photo is deceptive. It shows few people in a giant space.

  13. Steve Rose originally argued on Ruckus, way back when, that KC needed a new billion-dollar terminal because once when he was picking up a late-night flyer, he couldn't find a nice sandwich at the airport.

P.S., despite his claims, Rose is not a Republican.
