TKC SUNDAY SPECIAL!!! INSIDER POLLING REVEALS KANSAS CITY VOTERS REJECT NOVEMBER NEW AIRPORT PROPOSAL!!!

Despite half a million bucks in campaign coffers already AND the support of almost every big biz and top politico in town, Kansas City voters are largely unconvinced and mostly against the new airport.

Now, in their RIGGED phone polling, even promoters of the new airport claim only a 50/50 margin at this point but the reality is that those numbers are much lower when they include likely voters from the GO Bond election.

Here's the news . . .

65% OF LIKELY KANSAS CITY VOTERS WHO CAST THEIR BALLOTS IN THE GO BOND ELECTION EARLIER THIS YEAR ARE NOW AGAINST THE NEW AIRPORT PROPOSAL!!!

More info from this polling data set that was concluded in early September . . .

- 1/2 of likely voters don't believe claims that the airport won't cost Kansas City taxpayers.

- 3/4th of likely voters believe a new airport will increase ticket prices.

- 9/10 likely voters agree that the airport will cost more than initial projections.

These polling numbers are the last testament of THE CAMBRIDGE GROUP and part of consultant Steve Glorioso's legacy (R.I.P.) in local politics working under the name of an old subcontractor shell company that Pat Gray (Steve's legendary friend and biz partner) contracted.

We suspect this data set might have been part of a pitch for Mr. Glorioso to win part of airport consulting money for the November airport push before his untimely death in late September.

The exit polling and individual voter surveys are likely more accurate than robo-calls that now rule local politics and offer a peek into the mindset of voters who actually go to the ballots.

And so . . .

A bit of Sunday hope is that BIG MONEY from Kansas City corporations has yet to move the dial in terms of opinion and voter confidence in claims about the new airport remain sketchy at best.

Developing . . .

    1. Still a little less than a month to go. If the airport puts some money on the street, they'll be able to close the gap. I think the 50/50 number that's on the record from #newKCI is a bit more troubling. That's basically them admitting they don't know how this thing is going to turn out.

    2. Hoping this will get more turnout. With low turnout, anything can happen. That's why there isn't much confidence on either side.

  2. First off

    1. They will build the new airport no matter how this vote turns out.

    2. Look at the Northland. They will ultimately decide this election.

    3. The campaign is screwed because of the consultants. Without pat or Steve around, there isn't anybody to really take charge. Roe is taking a backseat and not as involved beyond picking up a big check.

If this thing fails, City Hall should be a fun place until election time.

  3. This is a referendum on leadership at city hall. It is time for Troy to go.

  4. Most voters get their info from the television stations and the Star. What they are seeing is that the airport will be good for KC. They don't know.

  5. 7:54 AM has articulated the first reason this scam will pass. Number 2 It appears that Roe has been given a big check. Number Three the interested parties will pony up money. Number four this is a stealth campaign.

It is a matter spending a lot of money late and herding the Sheeple toward a yes.

There is no group or money to cast doubt in the voters minds to give them pause to vote no.

Voila we will get a the one gate terminal scam, city backed development debt, ever increasing taxes and increased airport fees out our governmental slap stick silly, blissfully unaware and politically detached asses.

  6. ^^^Tony would appreciate you gettin to the bottom of this Hu Phong spam and eliminating it.

  7. I think it will end up passing and I say that mournfully.

The city will push and push this until the voters have had enough and give into them. then not long afterwards the city will say it cost more then expected and will need a one cent tax out of this.

And if the taxpayer would've passed the airport in the first place it would be a whole lot cheaper.

the tax payer of KC better get its lube out because KC will get it in the end.

  8. 6:54 AM has it right.

Voters are going to get it, as usual.

If there's money to be got City Hall crooks and thugs will get it.

  9. Frankly, if city hall said it is a bright sunny day, I'd go look out the window...

  10. Visit CFRG's Facebook page WWW.Facebook.com/citizensforresponsiblegovernment for reprintable flyers and tons of information why a single terminal plan is not good for KC.

  11. Build it next to the new Amazon headquarters.

  12. Another election rigged. Just like the GO Bond vote.

  13. KCMO should have voted on that Sly recall, would have solved the whole thing.

  14. Yeah if only Glorioso was here or maybe we can get Swede to beat back the negative people who see through our shit.

    Go Swede...Go Swede..

I know...I know poor Snowflake, far left and pimple faced millennials don't know who Swede is and what happened to him.

  15. Most KCMO voters have never used an airport. Let the airlines pay for their cost of doing business.

    ReplyDelete
  16. vote no, along the majority of others!

show-me state voters know that rebuilding something that needs fixing is not common sense.

a 100 million remodel could eliminate most objections to our beloved, convenient airport.

  18. There's a significant group of people (politicos/corporate cronies)who are willing to let this fail at the voting booth because Burns McDonnell didn't win the bid.

They believe that the issue will fail without their support, and they'll bide their time for another shot at a billion(+) dollar contract. Money rules.

If the KCMO power players wanted this to succeed, with only 3 weeks before the vote, how come they haven't started an aggressive ad campaign? Sending out some targeted mail flyers doesn't constitute an aggressive campaign. For the last 2-3 weeks the talking heads on local media have been emphasizing that time is running out to convince voters, yet we still haven't seen/heard a TV/radio ad blitz. KCMO power players didn't win the bid, so they're punting on this on.

  19. The Millennials don't show up in polls and they'll come out in droves to vote for the new airport. They like shiny things that they don't have to pay for.

    ReplyDelete
  20. If it loses in the vote, it will still be built in Kansas. They want it.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm going to KANSAS CITY KANSAS CITY HEAR I COME. THEY HAVE A SHINY NEW AIRPORT THERE AND I'M GOING TO HAVE SOME FUN. .

    ReplyDelete
  22. Your going to hear more problems with a poorly built airport. .they will say in the future they need more gates And the weather high winds your IN TORNADO ALLY YOU NEED A WELL BUILT AIRPORT. REMODEL,THE AIRPORT YOU HAVE YOU WON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ADDING MORE GATES TEN YEARS FROM NOW. IT WILL WITH STAND HIGH WINDS.

    ReplyDelete
  23. What chaps my hide is the accusation that we are stupid fools for not jumping on the new airport bandwagon. And the insults just keep coming every time someone objects to spending gobs of cash on something we don't need.

How about the good folks in JoCo building a single terminal airport and inviting the airlines across the state line? Let them pay for it if they are so inclined.

    ReplyDelete
  24. the purported competition from an airport in kansas is total baloney.

    it's a transparent bluff.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Amazon and a new airport--in Joco, Babee!

What's the worst that can happen if KCMO voters smell the stink of this election, and vote NO? Their council could see the light and come back with a remodel. Why give up half your gates? Fix the bathrooms at Southwest, and get back to the business of fixing the streets and bridges (oh don't forget the doggie shelter), and stopping folks from killing one another. Isn't that enough work to get done?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Is there any organized opposition to this airport shit sandwich the voters are about to swallow??

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hey you nay sayers. We're going to run a street car to the airport and put in some FIRST CLASS bars. It will be a perfect fit for our NEW airport.

    ReplyDelete
  28. 7:05 PM Hey Gaysayer...that streetcar is headed right up your rass.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Don't depend on the Northland to pull this one out of the fire. People don't vote because they don't give a crap. But that doesn't stop them from bitching about the outcome. If folks REALLY want to stop the new terminal idea, they have to get off their butts and VOTE. I hope it happens, but then I remember how quickly the $800 MILLION DOLLAR GO bond passed. (sigh)

    ReplyDelete
  30. 90 percent of the people who actually vote don't pay any fucking taxes anyway so a vote for the airport is just another nine yards right up whitey's arse.

    ReplyDelete
  31. ^^^ I have yet to see an encyclopedic ass like yours from with to draw such home made bullshit fake statistics.

Sayyyy aren't a Central High drop out or another one of them KCSD Skollars???
