KANSAS CITY WEEKLY POWER RANKINGS!!!
Another exceptionally divisive work week is complete as Kansas City moves toward the Fall with no sign of peace at hand.
Accordingly, in the midst of the fighting and debate . . . Here are the local people and trends that STAY WINNING THIS WEEK!!!
Bump Stocks & #ASSJAMZ
Better than local rhetoric in the aftermath of the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history, locals voted with their wallets and bought up all of the local bump stocks in town. Similarly, even in the midst of mass shootings Kansas City doesn't want to cancel a good party and there are plenty of controversial booty shaking events planned during the Halloween season.
The Kansas City Northland
Like it or not, this part of town is going to play a big part in picking the next mayor and/or inspiring the next wave of population growth beyond the downtown development ponzi scheme.
Dead-Tree Media Declarations!!!
This week The Star penned a defiant note to their subscribers as their revenues to tumble and advertisers find more tech savvy options. Similarly, The Pitch offered a disappointing "Best Of Kansas City" issue that simply didn't live up to their previous publications. Nevertheless, these dead-tree media institutions continue to valiantly push forward despite increased social media and online challenges.
And so . . .
Our Kansas City struggle continues into the weekend as the local debate over the patriotism, slurs and respect (or lack thereof) persists.
As always, this list has been compiled according to scientific TKC polling and market research data and it's a weekly comprehensive guide to local powerful people.
