  1. Yeah but our murder rate is higher than all of them.

  2. Philadelphia and Miami are the only cities on that list that ranked in the top 30 for murder rate, but we smoked them out.

  3. I hope Sly enjoys all that junk he ordered.

Shhhh. Don't tell anyone. We've still got the opportunity to milk the city for millions in fees.

  5. The top city on the list doesn't have any pro sports teams. Haven't we been told that we must spend hundreds of millions on sports teams to remain "major league".

  6. Amazon wants slave labor. Not clock watchers who call in sick so they can go to a game.

  7. We have to be #1 in TIF projects.

  8. According to our hometown Startland News, here is a quote from Sly's fake news review of his new Amazon-ordered wind chimes:
The mayor emphasized this affordability in one of his Amazon reviews.

“I live in beautiful Kansas City where the average home price is just $122K, so I know luxe living doesn’t have to cost a ton,” James wrote in the review of a set of windchimes. “I’ll tell you, when I’m sitting out in the backyard of my reasonably priced home in a safe neighborhood with great schools and these chimes start to tinkle, it feels like the whole world is singing just for me.”

NOWHERE DOES HE MENTION THAT HE IT IS NOT HIS HOME. HE IS JUST A RENTER, AT 108 E. 30TH ST. ON UNION HILL. OUR MAYOR IS TECHNICALLY AS HOMELESS AS THE COLONEL WHO RAN AGAINST HIM IN THE LAST ELECTION.

  10. The only reasonably priced homes in safe neighborhoods are in the Northland and they hate being part of KCMO.

  11. @Tracy Thomas, the fact that S'lie doesn't even own his home, despite being the mayor and a lawyer by trade should be criminal. He's so quick to raise our property taxes (as seen in the GO-BOND election) yet he doesn't have any skin in the game.

Just note, there was an article in the paper recently about various corporations around town having their property values evaluated LOWER by the city than they should saving the rich/corporations millions while denying schools, libraries and such quite a bit of money.

If I'm Amazon I'd definitely have KCMO in my top 5 because I know S'lie and the powers that be in this city will bend over and give me anything I wanted.

  15. I heard they were interested in the caves. No rain or snow and no extremes in Temperature.

Salt Lake will beat us out as they have a clean city, NO steel plates in the streets and they work.

  16. when you are falling behind Rochester,NY there is a problem.

  17. It won’t stop him from wasting tax payer money on a project that we won’t get..... again

  18. Amazon is looking for a YOUNG and moderately-educated labor pool. Young means they can pay them low wages and work them around the clock. Moderately educated means they can read and understand directions/instructions. And, they should probably show up for work on time and relatively drug-free.

Hard to come by those requirements in Boon Town (aka KC).

  19. I guess that Hi-Tech city line of shit KC has been peddling just hasn't connected with anyone dumb enough to be buying it.
