Is This Kansas City Chiefs Merch Racist???

Great comment from one of the best people TKC follows via social media raises an interesting question that offers an important and often forgotten perspective on history . . .

"Whites coveted war bonnets and took them to prove they'd killed a noble man. I don't think of football when I see this, I see white privilege and genocide. Approached the designer and he was obstinate. Do better, Kansas City."

First off, before we take sides on this one . . . Can we all agree this overpriced garbage is LAME and something only the world's biggest d-bag would wear? Any kind of creep willing to pay $45 for this rag deserves whatever Native American poltergeist curse that comes his way.

Still, it's important to educate locals and engage in conversation rather than just preach. We're open to any defense of "Chiefs and Redskins" football nomenclature as Kansas City waits for a controversial NFL match-up on Monday night.

    True.

That said, the Progressive push to hate on white people because of their OBVIOUS affinity, respect and admiration of the Native American fighting spirit is, as always, predictable agitprop, identity, divisive politics, designed to enable the continuation of a larger, still more specious "Narrative" that drives the Politically Correct edicts that we are all supposed to live by.

Let's tear down that the "Scout" statue and replace it with one of Mao!

Unlike the Washington Indigenous Swamp Dwellers, Chiefs can be many things. All tribes had chiefs before they had kings. Just happens this area was selected by Thomas Jefferson as Indian Territory before Andrew Jackson's theft and genocide.

I find it humorous that TKC reaches out to his white, Christian men with lots of bad history in their brains, to settle the issue of First People's standing and how they should feel about this issue.

That is akin to saying chuck and Byron the Funk are the only two possible opinions.

If you know real history, you know the Celts and the Comanche were the only truly free societies.

  3. I grew up in Minnesota -- a place where American Indians actually live in numbers large enough to matter. The Indians there still wear their North Dakota Fighting Sioux jackets and hockey jerseys proudly even after far more intelligent white people have told them that this is BAD.

  4. Thanks, as always Orphan, for your perspicacious and pithy comment.

We are all, again, as always, in your debt.

"We do not want riches but we do want to train our children right."

    Red Cloud.

    Me too.

Off to work, have a great day.

  5. So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

  6. 7:32, not just the Comanche and the Celts, but many other Amerind tribes as well, and also the Viking bands. Free will unconstrained by authority. A level of freedom that the early European immigrants could not understand, and would not have approved of regardless.

  8. I'm an American Indian. I could give a shit about all this crap, whether kids play cowboys and Indians or what the hell. What I can not stand is why all these white people put up with this shit from boons after they damn near wiped our asses out like we were nothing. If this is is what the white folks had planned when they were killing off the Indians they are dumber than fuck.

  10. Yesterday at Arrowhead Stadium, Northwest Missouri State played University of Central Missouri. Throughout the game, both bands and fans would occasionally do the Tomahawk Chop like they do at Chiefs games. I know this because I was there in attendance.

If this offends you, you know who I am, where I work.

People know that this is offensive & they don't care. It's just another clueless, white man being racist.

"...home of the Chiefs!" and hypocrites.

  13. Pusillanimous Alphas with their bad history in their white, Christian brains.

7:32, unconstrained by authority? The Comanche had no religion, no tribal government, justice was enforced by the culture. Sure, it sucked if you were a woman or slave.

Celts were similar in the beginning.

But you have the right idea. The tribes tended to be led by women unless at war.

California tribes are a special case in their cultures. Seems it is contagious to immigrants, the crazyness.

  15. 9:35 you do bring up a point I have never thought or wondered about. Like your point of view being thrown out there like that. Shows some thought on the matter really took place. Not saying I agree with it but for sure a viewpoint I have never seen before.

As I said here a couple of years ago I have a real Indian friend who is no doubt a huge as hell Chiefs fan. He has no issue with the name at all. His biggest bitch towards other race of people is calling an Indian a red man. As he asked me once, " Do I fucking look red to you?"

As with the slave deal and the Indian wars none of my family had anything to do with it. My ancestors hadn't even arrived in this country yet, but asshole finger pointers like Byron wants to side with the people who like to make the race game here and point a finger at me saying it's all my fault just as well because I am white which I disagree with myself because I see myself as medium flesh colored.

Not a damn one of us was here 150 years ago and using that time of America as an excuse for anything today is the lamest, poorest, worthless excuse going. It's a cheap lazy excuse to not be a good citizen with upstanding character.

If your last name is Capone are you a gangster and should you for having that name carry the guilt for what Al did 90 years ago? If your last name is Dahmer should you be looked at as a serial killer? Should you not shop at Cable Dahmer Chevrolet because they might kill you since they are Dahmer's?

The past is over and one could find an excuse to whine about anything if one digged long enough. I have no hate for an American Native nor do I for a Black American Native (I have no idea what an African American is) or a Mexican Native. Long as the obey the laws, are a working part of society, I'm all good with anyone. When you want to break the law, sit on your ass and bitch about lack of handouts or free education while killing ,stealing and living a life of fraud while protesting against criminals being treated as they call upon themselves to be treated, then I have huge ass issues with you no matter what race or color you claim.

  20. A lot of people give a fuck because every rich suburb is a Sundown Town. Many streets in Kansas City are named after Slave Owners. Andrew Jackson is where Hitler's lawyers learned from. There is a statue of Winston Churchill at the plaza who killed millions in the MUD East. And Truman was a mass murderer. Clark Hunts oil company got a law passed in Peru a few years ago to kill native peoples so they can drill for oil on stolen land and kill anyone who protest.
