An ongoing theme for Downtown that our blog community has followed for years. Predatory tow trucks stalk streets near and around the loop with the help of new tech and City Hall. Here's an update thanks to a thoughtful TKC Reader: Cars towed from downtown KCMO parking lot even though customers paid fee

probably JoCo people. if the machine is broke or doesn't process correctly then your ticket isn't valid. sucks, but it happens sometimes. folks need to be a little smarter.
ReplyDeleteHorse Turds! If the machine (the Company) accepts your money, you and the Company have a CONTRACT!
ReplyDeleteThe owners of the parking lot have a responsibility to reimburse their customers for the towing fees they incurred due to the Owner's negligence, and they probably should be fined for non-performance as well. I'm not sure about the Towing Company, but their actions in not checking with the Lot's Owner to see if there was, in fact illegal parking BEFORE they towed the vehicles at least raises the question of Vehicle Theft on their part.
Another good reason to stay away from downtown. Crooks are wearing business suits and they are out to take you for a very expensive ride.

ReplyDeleteHeavy-duty rear-end to cover the big load!!!
(and the truck's nice too!)

ReplyDeleteOooo, oooo! He must be a REAL MAN! Just look hw BIG A TRUCK he drives!
And then she discovered the meaning of the word "Compensation"!
Aaaaaaw, wook at da cutesy widdle Princess @8:09 in his Prius at the hardware store. Hims all purdy in plaid flannel and work boots while packing and shoving studs (NOT "those" kind) and ramming in plank hardwoods (NOT "those", either) through his back access (NOT "that", I'm talking about the car's trunk).
DeleteIn other words Channel 41 did not do a damn thing to help this lady on the parking issue. The crooked city needs to step in and bust some balls, but since KCMO gets a piece of the fees you wont see shit happen. Time for a class action. It is not the consunmer's responsibility to keep the companies software working. It is also not the consumers responsibility to accept the idea that the system hands out bogus receipts while punishing the consumer for the company's flaws. Tie to bend them over and return the great customer service ten fold.
ReplyDeleteFuck lame ass 41 BTW. Worthless as tits on a boar hog.
Our biggest takeaway from this is that we have a new player! Not the federal felon guy, Lenders, Jay Bloodworth. What? 3 times for him on tV, maybe more? I guess the stations decided to give face time to a new company! Congrats, S&S Tow!
