EAST SIDE RAGES OVER KANSAS CITY FAKE NEWS REAL ESTATE SCHEME PROMOTION!!!

Here's a pro-tip . ..

NEARLY EVERYTHING WRITTEN ABOUT REAL ESTATE IN KANSAS CITY IS A LIE!!!

Most of the development pipe dreams so lovingly reported never come to pass or are disappointing and short-lived at best. A recent blub about big money plonked down in the urban core follows the same pattern.

Go ahead . . . Tell me I'm wrong and how I'm missing out on the next 3rd District building boom . . . And as time time passes we'll see that gentrification fears might be a bit overwrought as real estate hype now rules the dead-tree media news cycle.

In fairness, here's a perspective that takes building plans at their word and offers some important push back:

Is City Staff Selling Out Our East Side Neighborhoods? Sure Looks Like It!

No affordable housing scheduled for Manheim! Manheim Neighborhood says: NO!

Insult: The 'developer' and the City STAFF failed to give the Manheim Neighborhood Association even a modicum of RESPECT. We are caught by their surprise to build 12 infill Quarter Million Dollar houses in our neighborhood. There was no meeting with us to talk about this! Can you say: RAMRODDING down our throats??

In the name of justice ~ HELP!!

  1. Who cares about manheim, nasty neighborhood anyway. Instead of wasting more money on the hood why don’t they go further east and help those folks instead? Or just across the river? We’ve probably spent near one hundred million dollars in the central core and it’s done no good. Those people don’t take care of what’s given them. Time to change direction with the money flow.

  2. Let's move Manheim Park to 18th & Vine!
Cheptoo's got buttloads of cash to spend, surely she won't mind giving a few bucks back to a neighborhood.

  3. Between Troost and INDIANA. THEY ARE NOT GOING TRY TO ACOMPLEASH MUCH. BUT THE EASTERN CITY LIMITS ARE DOING WELL ALL THE WAY TO THE LEE'S SUMMIT CITY LIMITS. BLUE RIDGE CROSSING IS BOOMING.

  4. Retro, Lees summit road is doing well because that is where a lot of kcpd and kcfd live so there's big money living there including ex chief forte. blue ridge crossing? you mean walmart and lowes? im not sure you could call that booming but OK. east of blue ridge and west of noland could use the help for sure as far as helping the elderly get their houses repaired but that wont happen because its still mostly white and third district which only spends money in the central core

  5. Forget Manheim Park, gentrify the shit out of the Northeast / Indian Mound neighborhood and get rid of that stay at home loser "neighborhood president".
