GOP lawmaker faces calls for resignation after Facebook post on Confederate statue vandalism

Updated August 31 at 4 p.m. with comments from Love and Gov. Greitens: Republican Gov. Eric Greitens and Democratic elected officials are calling for a Republican lawmaker from southwest Missouri to step down after he posted on Facebook that people who defaced a Confederate statue should be "hung from a tall tree with a long rope."

  1. Why should he have to?

The Black Woman who hoped for harm to Trump is not going to.

    Does she get a pass?

After all, they aren't going to remove her either.

  2. No way should he resign. He's right. We do need to resume lynchings. Then we don't have to rely on worthless people like Jean Petersucker Baker for justice.

    1. Yeah! Let's resume lynchings! That'll keep the negroes in line. Often, negroes who were subject to lynchings stayed strung up for several days, their subhuman carcasses rotting in the sun, as a message to other subhuman ferals to behave or leave.

      Good times!

He should only resign if his views are not representative of his constituents, & since they apparently are, he isn't really the problem, just its spokesman & the NAACP was right to issue a travel advisory.

    I was wrong - it's not 1950 in Missouri, its 1890.

These monuments must go because they are rallying points that were to demonstrate the belief in white supremacy. They were erected as acts of terrorism against blacks.

  6. Stupid people say stupid things. We see it everyday on TKC! Check out the above posts. Running off at the mouth is epidemic in this country. Hell chuck spews idiotic garbage like this daily. Last I heard, no one made him resign from his job as the men's room attendant at the bus station.

  7. Its now clear that neo confederates are neo Nazis. The question is, is anyone really surprised?

  8. He should resign immediately. Then he should move to Kansas City and get elected mayor. We have lots of tree and rope. And a seemingly unlimited supply of lynchable hood rats.

  9. Fuck Bilerun. He doesn't decide who should do what. Fucking Hillbilly!

I see nothing wrong in what was said. It was not directed towards any race. It was directed towards a criminal that is yet to be identified. They should not only hang the bastard, but they should set his hateful self absorbed ass on fire and make an example out of the little prick.

  16. Oh I'm sorry, this didn't happen:
Today in history Sept. 1st, 1862
    Battle of Chantilly
Confederate Army troops defeat a group of retreating Union Army troops in Chantilly, Virginia and drive them away in the middle of an intense thunderstorm.
    But this did:
1864: Atlanta falls to Union forces During the American Civil War, the Confederate hub is captured by Union soldiers led by General William Tecumseh Sherman, in one of the most decisive victories in the conflict
