Kansas City Elementary Lesson In Racism???

EXCEPTIONAL data driven reporting that might hopefully lead to a policy change rather than just social media and comment troll slapfighting.

Racial Disparities Persist In Suspensions Of Elementary Students In Kansas City

Young black students were five times more likely than their white peers to be removed from Kansas City classrooms for disciplinary infractions during the 2015-16 school year. They received longer suspensions than their white and Hispanic classmates and were more likely to be put out of school for reasons other than illegal substances, physical violence and weapons, according to a Kansas City, Missouri, Health Department analysis.

  4. But, but, but... The Kansas City School District is run by African Americans, for African Americans!

If Mayor James is accusing the African Americans running the School District of being RACISTS, then by the same logic applied daily to Americans of European descent, HE IS ACCUSING ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS of being Racists!

MAYOR JAMES, I DISAGREE WITH YOU, NOT ALL AFRICAN AMERICANS IN KANSAS CITY ARE RACISTS!

    1. Same song and dance happened in Seattle.

Feds tried to claim Seattle public school teachers are racist for this same pattern.

      Public school teachers. In Seattle.

  5. KCUR, KCPT, Flatland, the Star, and all the rest of the hand-wringing could find lack of diversity and racism at the United Nations.
But never will the words, responsibility, behavior, hard work, education, opportunity, parenting, or self-control pass their lips.
Making lists of endless excuses doesn't offer much in the way of example or leadership.
And the terrible results are there for all to see.
    Maybe time for another protest!

  6. TKC, and what policy change might that be? Spend some time in a public school, you might learn something.

  7. The KCPS should get rid of all white teachers. They are unable to understand how to teach black students. Once that happens, these discipline problems should go away.

I knew I was fucked when in 7th or 8th grade at Smith Hale Junior High Circa 1983 - 84 "Mzzz Smith" a black woman was staging "rap battles" during class... it only got better. If you don't believe me snowflakes, take your little pussy asses on down to Ruskin Heights and drive around for a Lil bit.

  13. We have "White Privilege", but what about "Black Advantage"? Black Advantage is given, but blacks continue to set the bar lower, and fail to reach it even more. So what is this article saying? We should disregard crime, if it's committed by blacks?

  14. 10:36,:37 & :45, Right on!

Teaching very young students personal responsibility at home, school, church and everywhere is major. All decent parents model success.

BLACK LIES MATTER - DON'T MAKE THE BLACK KIDS ANGRY - GIVE 'EM ROOM TO DESTROY - and ANTIFA's violence is BroBama's damage that needs to be undone! Cultural and moral revisions for better black family structure is badly needed. Disrespectful and overt criminal acts are too commonplace. Shoplifting Michaels and Fighting Trayvon's are those troubled in their school performance and with their home lives. Appropriate disciplines, not excuses, is proven worthwhile.

That's pretty much it. We all have LBJ and the war on poverty to thank for this.

It's the same as a spoiled child who is handed everything, they grow up to expect it and more, if they don't get it then they resort to violence.

And to 11:23, your statement is about as mindless as a retard, 11:05 said nothing about being a tough guy, I really don't think you can comprehend what he was saying.

  29. Who cares? Most of them that make it through school are illiterate anyway. It isn't like they are ever going to put an education to use in a career or job.

    ReplyDelete
  30. How do we know it is a racial disparity? It is more likely a parenting disparity. Black people are horrible parents, and they have too many kids so they get paid more welfare money. Too many are raised by crack whore mothers.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Who doesn't remember all the insanity going on at Southwest a few years back before it closed?! Constantly starting fights, raising fire alarms, even rape in the bathroom. Can't imagine why those types would be more likely to get suspended. You libs who hate yourselves for being white do not realize that you're not doing anything to help the blacks when you make excuses for their uncivilized behavior. For more than 150 years, there have been attempts to assimilate them into mainstream society and nothing has worked yet.
