DISGRACE!!! DEAD-TREE MEDIA ENDORSES MARCUS PETERS AND KANSAS CITY CHIEFS NATIONAL ANTHEM SIT DOWN PROTEST!!!

In a meandering and equivocating column, one fading institution looks after another as the newspaper concludes: "He wouldn’t advocate for change if he didn’t want a stronger country. We want to hear his ideas."

You decide:

Chiefs' Marcus Peters sits one out for his country

Marcus Peters, sitting mute on that trainer's bench while "The Star-Spangled Banner" played before Thursday night's game - why, it's enough to make a Chiefs fan root for Tom Brady. OK, maybe that's a bridge too far.

  2. Yeah, I turbid it off and will continue to do so. I may miss a winning season but that's how the have is played. Can't wait until him and Kaepernick can"sit" side by side, using whatever college degree that they earned, to support their lifestyle. Perhaps, community organizer.

  3. I wish I could quit the Star again, but have quit them about 11 times already now this is the 12th time, lol

  4. This is why I havent read the Star, visit its website or had a subscription for the past 10 years.

  5. No surprise. The Star said they were going to become more objective and less of a megaphone for the political left, but that was never in their DNA. If anything, they have moved even farther left than they were in the days of Diuguid and Abouhalkah. If you have run out of Ipecac, just read columns by Sanchez and Osterheldt; you'll get the same effect. The Star is a parody of a newspaper. It deserves its imminent demise.

  6. This guy was kicked off the university of Washington team for disciplinary problems(fighting with the coaches) and the Chiefs took him on???

America's favorite pass time has become a bunch of black guys who break the law, murder and beat their wives, and abuse their kids. Perfect. Just another thing the typical black people have ruined for us.

If I see you in public wearing a chiefs shirt, hat, etc. I think I will spit on you, can't wait to see the cars with chiefy paraphernalia too.

  7. The article suggests Petersucker should state his case explicitly. Are you kidding? Have you ever heard this guy talk? He is completely incoherent, Probably borderline retarded.

There is nothing disgraceful about this. Spare us your mindless, knee jerk patriotism. If anything is "disgraceful, it's the why the black community is treated by "law enforcement".

If you make him stand, against his wishes, what have you really accomplished? Coerced displays of patriotism are not really patriotic. How is any of this "shaming" going to make him more patriotic?

It's just a football game. If anything it's inappropriate to play the national anthem at such a mundane event.

  18. BTW the national anthem does not end home of the Chiefs and there is no law says he has to stand. Baseball started that tradition back during WWI

  19. Maybe Peters could just flip off the crowd. It would send the same message.

  20. Hey Funkhouser, how about "sparing us your mindless, knee-jerk" far-left vitriol? "If anything is disgraceful", it's the way that a guy drawing disability for being blind, sees well enough to post incessantly on TKC.
