Feds Find KC Streetcar Deficient

On July 24, the Federal Transit Administration issued a triennial review of Kansas City, Missouri, and its FTA-funded projects, namely the downtown streetcar. The report, available at the link below, found the city deficient in several areas, including maintenance.

  1. Finding deficiencies in the maintenance of anything owned or operated by KCMO government is a bit like discovering that water surrounds the Hawaiian Islands.

    Cut the ribbons!
    Build it at public expense.
    Ignore efficient operations or even routine maintenance.
    Let it fall down.
