TKC MUST SEE!!! KANSAS CITY ROYALS LEGEND GEORGE BRETT DOUBLES DOWN ON BURNS & MAC NEW AIRPORT PITCH!!!
Our KICK-ASS TKC blog community has already agreed that this new airport promo endorsement has further tarnished the legacy of a local slugger who never really moved on from his Kansas City glory days . . .
And so, repeating a bunch of flimsy corporate promises to local biz that aren't worth the paper their written on . . . Here's a double down on the pitch and a one of the biggest corporations ruining Kansas City's long term memory in a desperate revenue grab worth BILLIONS . . .
Corny website: kcilovethisplace.com
And here's the second Royal ring-kiss pitch:
You decide . . .
I think you're overestimating his reputation in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHey guys, it's me Clay.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people don't know this but Clay & George were formerly conjoined twins. I hear they want to get reattached.
ReplyDeleteGeorge is a good guy. If he's trying to help out some local businesses. The good for him.
ReplyDeleteThis guy was Kansas City's best swinger at one time so I'll take his word for it. And I'm not talking about baseball.
ReplyDeleteBahahahahaahahahahahahaha!
A kickback for ole dirty feet.
ReplyDeleteMoney must have been right.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone mentioned the George lives in Johnson County and not KCMO? It seems hypocritical for him to tell the city how to vote when he really is not a stakeholder.
ReplyDeleteI guess nobody calls George for endorsements anymore and he just couldn't resist this one. The problem with athletes in general is that they get old and creepy but never go away. Same with light rail pitchmen.
ReplyDeleteAgree with first comment, this legacy is non-existent when he gets 15 minutes outside of town.
ReplyDeleteIf George talks about baseball I'll listen. If George talks about airport construction...nope.
ReplyDeleteI am embarrassed for George. He not only turned himself into a WHORE, but he doesn't have any idea what he's talking about. The Burns $ McDonnell plan is not a "private financing plan" like he is trying to sell. It is a normal revenue bond which will show up on the Aviation Department's balance sheet as a debt for the City of Kansas City. He is spreading BS but I really don't think he knows it or he really doesn't care. George needs to stick to things he does know, hearing aides, catheters, and hemorrhoid medications.
ReplyDeleteHis ridiculous Mission Hills mansion probably needs some updates too. Now they are paid for.
ReplyDeleteSellout
ReplyDeleteWho paid George is what I want to know?
ReplyDeleteAnd how much? I've got some day old bread that needs movin'
ReplyDeleteThe picture of dissipation.
ReplyDeleteThe real question is, Is there ANYBODY that Burns and Mac haven't tried to buy off, most of them successfully?
ReplyDeleteThe latest promise is to employ kids from KCPS!
This whole airport fiasco is the sleeziest most amateur episode to hit KCMO in a very long time.
And that's really saying something, given the hotel, endless pointless subsidies, streetcar, and all the rest of the Sly extravaganza.
More rings for this circus!
^^^ +1
ReplyDeleteBurns & Mac seems like a pretty lousy corporate citizen nowadays.
Must have got a bunch of HOMOSEXUALLY ABOUNDS free booze and hemmoroid lube for the commercial ?
ReplyDeleteJust face it, George Brett is STILL a raving asshole and always has been. Go away Brett, far away...
ReplyDeletePushback by informed citizens is checking the special interest arrogance, no time to gloat, next challenge- low integrity approach to deliberate airport consideration and some political consequences for those rigging the system

ReplyDeleteGlorious needs to go
ReplyDeleteTime for a change of the guard
ReplyDeleteIf Sly was worth a spit he would dial in on getting special oversight to get fundamentals excellent, streets, curbs, sewers and attend to the lower 25 percent, not with money of city but by cultural change and business community engagement, both
ReplyDeleteLet's see if they respond or are tone deaf but a legacy will be decided by what happens next
ReplyDeleteGeorge is a golden God. Unlike the rest of you burnout geezers, George has accomplished some things in his life and is beloved in the community. Your jealously is an ugly look. Do better geezers.
