SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY AWASH IN DOGGIE COMPLAINTS DESPITE $50-MILLION IN GO BOND MONEY FOR NEW ANIMAL SHELTER!!!

Amid a totally development focused agenda, here's another area that City Hall has neglected to improve despite voter largess when it comes to cute pets . . .

Fox4: City’s Animal Control dept. flooded with neglect and abuse calls, but ten officers stretched thin

Deets:

"A new audit finds serious flaws with Kansas City’s animal control department . . . The city admits animal control needs work, but says the biggest issue is that for the 1500 calls it’s getting a month, there are just 10 officers to respond . . .In Kansas City, the neighborhood committee is set to review the audit report into animal control operations next week, and the city council may ultimately decided what happens from there."

And so, voters shouldn't be surprised when KCMO comes back begging for more cash after GO BOND question 3 already allocated $50-million to help area animals.

Developing . . .

  3. How are we going to build a new airport. We can't even build a dog pound.

  4. If only we could spend that $50 million ridding ourselves of the feral animals ruining this country.

  6. Once again it takes an audit or outside consultants to discover that a KCMO city operation or department is poorly managed.
What are the department heads and "managers" paid to do?
Why isn't there any informed serious oversight by elected officials?
From the airport to the dog pound there's no management or accountability.
Just "what are you going to run for next"?
What ever happened to Mike's hotel? At 12th and Oak whenever an issue disappears is the time that the public should be most concerned.
